Hair straightening brushes are having a moment right now, and ghd have decided to get in on the action by launching the new Glide. So how does it work? Designed to be used on dry hair, it’s supposed to smooth frizz and give a straighter overall finish. The styling brush has ceramic teeth that heat up to 185C, they catch the hair; smoothing and taming frizz as you pass the brush through your lengths. Retailing at £125, the Glide is certainly not cheap, but compared to other ghd stylers (that retail between £139 and £175) it's not quite as pricey.
So does it actually work? We put it to the test on three different hair types and here’s what we thought…

I bought this a couple of weeks ago & have to say it a great tool for a second etc day top uo … so easy to use … does the job & leaves ur hair shiny. One thing … even thou it heats to 185, be careful as it can get very hot for your fingers … other than that, I definitely recommend it for a top up

A lot of people are writing on blogs that the ghd is really bad for your hair and causes it to fall out. Lots of comments and videos on it, so just saying beware. A hot brush like Revlon’s is far safer for long term use.

How have you gone and got a girl with straight hair, to straighten that straight hair...?!? And then you put a before and after? Like where’s the difference??

to the black girl: what the helllllll are you doing? Of course it's not going to work if you brush through your hair that rapidly. You have to take one piece of your hair and brush through it SLOWLY. damn

the darker skin girl bothers me. she didnt even do it properly. you need to section the hair first and glide it slowly downwards. her method won't work on any hair type if you have a lot of hair.
