This is my first ever KZfaq video, I have reviewed my daugthers Remington Shine Therapy Advanced Ceramic Hair Straighteners against my GHD's.
For a budget straightener the Remington Shine Therapy Advanced is a great straightener and I would definately use this again if my GHD's were not available. I am a die hard GHD fan, I will be reviewing more hair straightening options to see if there is a better alternative to my everyday GHD's

Hi All, and welcome to my channel! I do have very frizzy hair and have done since I was a kid, yes it is a bit damaged, but who's isn't.

Thank you so much for this video! I have been looking high and low for a remington / ghd comparison to try decide if it's worth the massive price difference

Thanks for your lovely comment, the Remingtons are great and don’t break the bank. They perform very similarly to the GHD

One slow pass with the straightener is better for your hair than lots of faster passes. I like your hair colour, and your eyes are a surprisingly intense green.

did you add any product to hair b4 straightening do you do it damp and is it normal for hair to steam when using this?
@JadeSwan
@JadeSwan 2 жыл бұрын
I always add heat protection before straightening it, the hair can steam a bit when straightening even when it is really dry 🤷‍♀️

I recommend taking thinner and smaller sections so you only have to go over it max twice with a temp of 150/160 and it will be straight without damaging your hair any further. Yeah it takes a tiny bit longer cuz you have to section off more but it will be worth. Straight healthy hair always looks better than straight damaged hair.

Thanks for the advice 🙂 I have cut it off now, I have very thick course hair at the best of times. Olaplex has really helped fix any bits that were still a bit damaged 🙂

@@JadeSwan aww I'm sorry to hear but I expected as much. A new start is fun tho! You got any idea what kind of cut you want to go for?

@@JadeSwan ooh yeah and olaplex does wonders for the hair! It's a bit expensive but I use their condotioner bi weekly and just the tiniest bit. Also always have a small flasque of their bonding agent if I ever decide to get a different colour. Treating your hair with olaplex is crucial after bleaching, I think I would have been bald if it was not for olaplex, it's seems the older I get the less my hair can handle.

@@BetaTestaburger I cut my hair into a short bob which is growing out already, I love cutting my hair that's why I don't mind when it breaks and I have to start again. I have shaved my hair completely many times and love it. I cut it to a short bob just after I did this video and my others on the channel, the baking soda method killed my hair :( but now it is growing healthy and strong again :) I will be dying it candy cane colours for christmas soon. You should check that one out in a week or two when I post it, I am really excited about that :)

Please get olaplex 0 and 3 it’s a life saver on damaged hair, leave it on over night in a shower cap then shampoo and condition also please use a heat protectant when straighten to minimise the damage. You hair will feel healthy and lovely.
