Papa is a consummate showman. Fucking brilliant. You could put anyone in a mask and get them to sing. This guy can work a stage. The imperious flourishes of the dark pope. He brings the character to life. This image could have been seen as hokey and pretty shitty, but he owns it, works it and the character is as important as the music. Also, for those that haven't figured it out, everything you see out of his shirt collar is a latex mask. That isn't his neck. That face structure isn't even his. the only thing that might possibly belong to the singer is the ears. Papa's make up is on a series of identical masks to throw you off what the singers face actually looks like. Watch papaganda where the "unmasked" papa sings. the "non mask" is the base mask he uses to form Papa as you know him. If you look closely on the "unmasked" papa, through his sunglasses, you can see where the latex joins around his eyes. Pretty cool, and props to the singer for the commitment to performing in what must be a very uncomfortable costume. And yes all you cool kids, I know the supposed identity of papa. I prefer the character of papa to just another boring singer. The mystery is part of the appeal.

Papa's vocal range is truly underrated, incredible control I noticed throughout his live shows. Papa has a nice tone even though it's a bit nasally he pulls it off well but what really sets him a part is his rhythmic vocals, it's as if his voice dances to melody of the song. I would assume his vocal range is at least 3 octaves, 5 and 1/2 notes, Papa is truly a talented vocalist.

Agreed! And what is interesting is his voice has improved over the years, causing many people to think the Papas were different people. The rich quality is really starting to come out during his performances. I imagine he has a vocal coach during off-tours and that’s the reason for it. He has a good voice to begin with, but clearly it’s improved considerably since 2011. The range, the fact he sings in minor key for most songs (which is very difficult to maintain) and his holding power on notes......wow. My mother was a professional singer, and I grew up listening to her ‘words of wisdom’ in regards to vocals (I am not in any way her equal) but as a result it is clear to me when I come across someone who can really show some vocal chops.......and Tobias Forge has it. He’s amazing and obviously takes his craft very seriously.

I’m a proffessional singer. Certainly not like papa, but hey, I get my gigs. I can tell you it’s SUCH a real feeling, when you know you totally nailed a note or a whole song or even an entire show, and you feel amazing singing it. It’s a totally indescribable feeling of just absolute euphoria. And most of the time the crowd can’t even bring me back😂I’ll tell you listening to anyone remotely as good as papa is always something that gets me in that mindset. The first time I heard that note I just started smiling like a crazy person. His range and his support as well as how natural his vibrato is is insane. He’s amazing.

I honestly love his live songs more than recorded album versions. And I can't say that about many other bands at all. He truly has an amazing voice and range.

Didn't like Ghost, then I heard this and my only response was "Wow!" simply amazing, especially that outro

Tobia's face at 0:46 realizing they screwed it up is so funny

Incredible, moving performance. One of my biggest complaints about vocalists are when they have tons of chops but either can’t sing with feeling, or sound super affected when they try. Forge sings right from the heart, and that’s why his voice is so beautiful. What you’re hearing is a true musician.

I love this performance, they are so real, & love when Martin looks at the guy recording right in his face like "you're getting too close, back the fuck up." I now will always miss all of them together. 😢🎼❤️

I absolutely love the fact that they have live acoustic versions of their songs...I think that it would be awesome if they did an acoustic album of some of their best songs

He sounds as if he didn't make any attempt at all, as if singing was something as easy as just speaking. But omfg he sings so amazingly

I love that even professionals mess up from time to time, and then, they just calmly recover, and continue. awesome.

Ghost is the greatest resurrection of Alice Cooper & David Bowie. Everything that made both memorable
