1.0 sounds are much better than 2.0 It really shows "old is gold"

I'm a bit of a gun nut, so I'm probably the one one bothered by this, but the fire rate of the guns on the tank is far too slow in this 2.0 version. The tank has twin 3 barreled Gatling guns that have a fire rate of about 40 rps. The 2.0 version here has the guns going "chug chug chug" whereas it should sound more like a "BRRRRRRRRR"

yes i agree 1000%. it doesnt line up like accurately. the tank cannons should sound more like a mini gun or a fighter jet 30mm cannon. Like a fly buzzing or a ripping paper. This one sounds like a ww2 browning machine gun

I don't get why they made the gatling gun sound slower, almost like it's chugging bullets instead of a nonstop stream like an actual gatling gun is supposed to do

2.0 … look what they did to my boy. Could have been a lot worse. Could have replaced all the guns with walkie-talkies.

Not a fan of the CGI glass or the weird Tanish filter they added in 2.0 the greyish bluish tones work better it's one of those things where if it ain't broke don't fix it, just increase the quality of the image to 4k that's all it really needs tbh and even that's not a huge problem

Yupp, 3D in 2.0 looks completely out of place, like it's a fan amv stitched from unrelated sources.

Google Translate: 2.0 seems to be out of sync with the firing interval. Maybe, I didn't really analyze too closely. I did notice some sounds seeming out of sync. Also the 2.0 sounds are different rate of fire, so there might be some differences in sync. The original is better. The only thing that 2.0 got cooler is the sound of hits. Well, maybe Batou's hand cannon as well.

While 2.0 has better gun sounds. The 1.0 looks more aesthetically pleasing imo.

I still prefer the original sounds. The metallic rip of the Tanks machine gun is chilling and adds better to the dread of scene

2.0 version albeit more ""realistic"" sounds pretty lame. The original sounds a lot more power full an fast.

What stands out the most is that the 2.0 did a much better job with the firearm sounds.

I agree. It's deeper and more powerful. Instead of that old style metal twang sound.

My only complaint with 2.0 is the jank ass CG helicopter in scene 1. Everything else was an improvement or of little consequence.

I don't know, trying to take off my nostalga glasses I feel like 1.0s sounds are better only because it creates a bit of a feeling of 'This is so advanced, It doesn't sound like any firearm I've ever seen'. Though the bay-esque sounds for the spider tank in 2.0 is really, really good.

I dunno, sounds great already to me, and besides the spidertank gatlings don't sound more realistic than they did in the old one. Actually they sound even slower, while a rotating barrel gun sounds like a big fart (yeah it's a pretty unsatisfying sound compared to how its portrayed usually in fiction xD). Meanwhile Motoko's gun in 2.0 sounds indeed realistic and okay, but actually the older sound is pretty realistic too, it's just that it's difficult to estabilish what would be the better sound for the gun, especially as it's a non existing one
