The view and the development potential is precisely what some Toronto speculator had in mind. The City wouldn't give him a demolition permit, so he left the place empty and let it deteriorate for decades until it finally had to be torn down. The city should have moved to designate it as historical and protect it, same as they did for its identical twin, Whitehern at MacNab and Hunter. For anyone curious what the house looked like inside and out, a tour of Whitehern would be interesting. I don't see anything ghostly there. The lot is on a curve and traffic from the nearby Jolley Cut (which you can hear) would very briefly reflect between other houses and illuminate trees and bushes as occasional upbound vehicles swing around the little auxiliary exit there. Nothing to see there these days except an empty lot, so why antagonize the people on that street by traipsing around there in the night...
