UPDATE: One correction I'd like to make is that there IS a new lock on system in Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut that is turned off by default in the options, which I never noticed. I used it a little bit recently, and it works well for its purposes. I only wish the camera was more zoomed out while using it. Also, I initially estimated this may be a 15 to 20 hour long experience for completionists, but it's starting to look like that playtime is closer to between 10-15 hours, though if you look for literally every single collectible, your playtime may be longer.

Everything you can earn from costumes to emotes it is all free!!! No bullshit microtranactions and p2w shit...FREE!!! And we didn't even need it in the first place but they were nice enough to surprise us with it and it is amazing. Thank you so much sucker punch studios

One great thing that I loved was the loading times. How they managed that on the PS4 was impressive.

As someone who has platinumed the entire game, beat the raid in multiplayer and unlocked every collectable, I still find myself coming back to Ghost of Tsushima for hours on end. This game is a fucking triumph, and I love just how much Sucker Punch has supported it.

I already pre-ordered this dlc, simply because Sucker Punch has done what was originally believed only CDPR would do over the years. I'm not able to play it yet, but I have faith that it'll be a wonderful experience much like I had with the base game.

I still find it odd how long it takes to load gear previews. Everything else is smooth but selecting a new hat takes longer than a loading screen.

Been looking forward to playing this on PS5 with all the PS5 bells and whistles. Loved the first few times I played it. Never played the multiplayer though, mainly because all my friends are still on Xbox. I jumped shipped to play God of War! They don't know what they are missing. Interesting what you said about the difference in areas in the new island, Skillup said the opposite.

If they want to do something crazy with a DLC it's to update it so you can chose more of a traditional warrior path, you can in dialogue and in playstyle but in cutscenes you will always be The Ghost, I'm kind of with The Shogunate in his review on this one, I know it weren't advertised as if you would ever be able to do it but when you got a tiny taste of it, it just kind of felt like you were missing it. Also Naginatas with their own skill tree would be awesome.

i got the new update today and being able to choose and replay duels and sites is amzing, but one small issue i had is it took away an armor that i had to go through and hit all the hotsprings again just to get back unfortantely. also the 2 new mask is awesome too!! thats all just base game directors cut upgrades. cant wait till midnight!!

I just played this game for the first time on PS5 and I got that feeling back when I played Shenmue on Dreamcast when it first came out like this game is the beginning of a née era of video games.

Sucker Punch always been my favorite Sony dev, since Sly Cooper. So, I supported them and bought the director‘s cut. Now I own the original and director‘s cut. Both physical and digital 😎

Never actually played this game originally because of my PS4 sounding like a jet engine and I have always had so much else to play now that I have my PS5 so never got around to playing this though I definitely intend to at some point. This PS5 Directors Cut is certainly the place to jump in and I will eventually, I don't want to leave it too late to where it will be too late to get into the Multiplayer but right now just is not the time. Funnily enough you may know the game that has been keeping me busy as of late..... Metal Gear Solid V. Got into replaying it there last week and I am having so much fun with it. Started a new file on my PS5 and it has been great fun so far. Even rewatched your review on the game and a couple of the codecs just while taking breaks playing the game. MGSV was one of my most played PS4 games to my surprise once I checked via my PS5 at 300+ hours despite never getting close to 100% completion. Metal Gear Solid has always been my favourite game franchise and V to date was the only main game, Including Peace Walker that I had never played from start to finish more than once and I am glad that I have jumped back into V as it has been lots of fun, The game obviously has its issues but man is it so fun to play, so many possibilities and I love how you are continuously progressing throughout the game. Anyways back to Motherbase :)

Bought and played directors cut game for the first time, and it never occurred to me that sucker punch could've locked out all the outfits and charms. Just a seamless experience.

the game is $125 AUD AAA games are $90 so $35 for DLC and 60fps 3d audio and 4k resolution the DLC I would pay $10 but $25 for stuff the console is supposed to do for free that's why we bought the console to preform at that level not put it behind a paywall

And i would hate to just break off in the middle of my replay of Ghost of Tsushima. So i'll wait just a bit. But i'm excited as all hell to replay the game with the upgraded visuals etc and the new story content.

From what I've read the PS5 version gets native 4K, rather than checkerboard. I will be curious to see if there are any additional graphical enhancements, hopefully digital Foundry does in analysis

It's interesting to see how different reviewers have a different view on certain things. I just came back from Skill Ups review, who had a major criticism about the looks of Ikki Island, stating that it felt indeed just like a smaller version of Tsushima. Now I watch you and you say literally the exact opposite.

I wonder if Sucker Punch will continue Jin's story into a proper sequel, probably taking place on the mainlands of Japan?
