I don't need Assassin's Creed Japan anymore. This is basically it and I'm ready to spend some hundred hours in it just from the Photo Mode alone.

Game companies, THIS is how you do it. Gameplay like that. Cinematics and In-engine stuff is fine, but that isn't exciting. This got me hype, impressed me, built realistic expectations. I loved it.

This is looking perfect for me- Beautiful world, diegetic exploration mechanics, precise lethal combat, ninja stealth and fear, grounded setting with no fantasy, Japanese VO, black & white mode. I just hope the HUD is customisable and can be turned off without hindering core gameplay mechanics.

The mouth movements are English. It was the same clip from the trailer released earlier (if you check the Japanese and English versions) and listen/watch with alternative sounds you can see, the mouths never change from English.

This looks exactly like assassin's creed or even horizon zero dawn vibes. Not saying it as a negative, I'm digging it. I didn't originally think I'd care much about this game but a new open world game like those previous game IPs I mentioned... heck yeah I'm down.

The lip-sync was definitely English. The lines are "I've never seen a samurai fight like that" "it was nothing" You can see it matches up perfectly. Probably because it's an English dev, so they're only going to spend that time animating for English lip-synching.

This game just breaths 10 outa 10 FUN! Soooo fkn hyped. And since the thing I missed the most in Sekiro is exploration (especially in the end), this is the cure I need. Exploration in this game looks straight up amazing!! Probably also way more fun than your average Assassins Creed. I hope in this I just WANT to explore instead of need to hit the stupid check boxes.

For the yellow, it refill on kill and is used to slow down time. You can see that there is yellow particle refilling the dots after each kill while Samurai Jin murdering the mongols.

Seeing this Photo Mode made me wish you could export as Playstation active menu background. That would be so dope!

This grass and these flowers in them and shit is definitely the highlight for me. That's so awesome. Combat looks slightly weird when this guy was playing it but I'm sure when I'm playing it going through the game I'll love it. That filter as well is something unique I really like. It makes me want to play it twice just because of that.

So hyped for this. Sure it has obvious influences from other open world action adventure games but does it in a really exciting setting and unique 'Samurai Cinema' tone.

So many options for tsushima ... And it's a great thing. Play with the dub you want , with colors or not . What's missing is if you can reduce the minimal hub even more. More options is always a good thing.

I'm assuming the samurai/ghost playstyles will work in a similar way as Karma in the inFamous games. You'll build your legend/reputation, and the way you play will directly influence the way allies and enemies alike see you.

Looks amazing. They should turn off the flashing tree for crafting materials though. I don't think you need it at all. You can tell a small bush like that in that shape is something to collect once you've grabbed one or two. Probably the same for the other pick up items.

Literally my ONLY complaint about this game is the bow physics. Like they said, a literal shotgun blast. The impact would snap your neck for sure, but it would not send the entire human body flying backwards.

Thx sucker Punch for this great game. Since my childhood where I first watch old Samurai movies, did I dream of playing them in search a way like u show. But I never expect it to be this beautiful and spiritual. But I also want to share a bit of critik and a personal fear of mine about it. First my fear in this game is that it end to soon and you stayed there just exploring some unseen stuff, the next one is that the minimalism will give u over the time a lonely feeling. The second one what I like to say and I really hope that Im wrong about it, because I just read and see it on the Playstore, that u up the skills for Yumi(Bow) and Katana(Sword). What let me think that both are u only weapons. But I for someone who wants to play as the noble Samurai, it will be a bit to minimalism. Jin is in the Story a Samurai from the battlefield and he keep on fighting one way or another. But the Main weapon of a Samurai in Combat is a Yari(Spear), Bisento(Gleve), Naginata, Kanabo or Ono(Axe) for this Time periode. The Katana is just the backup Weapon and a symbole of status. So The Mongols have this movement for Polearms, so it will not be a big deal to give it to Jin as well. And for the realism, it will be great when u can stick it between sattle and horse like RDR2 with the rifle. So it will be epic to fight in full armor from the horseback. I think variety in weapons will be push the warrior playstyle. The third one is that u have this awsome game with this raelism environment and historical backstory and than u see something like Polearms flying on the back, or this ship scene with the blackpowder what looks like Ps2, or that vanishing Bamboo that u take. And it pull u out of this awesome feeling what u create and share with us, it feels like an awsome advanture where the game always remember u that its still a game. But I dont want to badmouthing this beautiful game, just share some thoughts and maybe give some advise to make it greater. What I really love About it, is that u build this wohle island so differnt from place to place, the music, the animation, the feeling, the combatesytem, the grapplinghook, the ghostway, the stealth options and fightingstyle. And this whole Conzept

Red Dead Katana looks great.

Everyone compares this to AC, and I guess you can say that the franchise did initialize a lot of these mechanics, but I think the execution in this game is much more like the Batman games or Shadow of Mordor, were the character "snaps" much less to corner and the movement is more natural. Haven't played any recent ACs tho, so maybe the new ones also operate like that.

i love how the colours are really muted in this game. The overly saturated colours are used sparingly. Gives it a really unique "natural" look compared to other AAA games imo

The World is just visually appealing

Here's my prediction between Samurai Mode or Ghost Mode, maybe it's a decision mode whether you'll become still as Honorable aka "Paragon Mode in Mass Effect" and has different playstyle and a Ghost Mode which is similar to "Renegade Mode in Mass Effect". The way I see this game are players lets choose between good or evil mode just like how Infamous games works in the past.

i've read a lot of people saying this game has nothing new, but that doesn't matter to me. The setting and the visuals are so incredible that I've got to play it

The combat as a samurai looks easy. I think it'll have the same problem as assassin's creed did in it's early early games where you can basically take out a whole army by yourself and enemies take turns. Hope they make the Samurai approach extremely hard so you'd be incentivised to play as the assassin
