These videos pop up often. It sparks one of my favorite memories. I had just turned 18, and I was in a bar/hang out near the college. 1972. The first time I ever heard a pedal steel guitar. The first time I heard Ghost Riders in the Sky. The magic of that sound and the song caught my heart in a way that I had never felt before. I always listen. Thanks.

In the 60s and early 70s my Stepfather loved two things, PBR and Country Music. Most of the "real" country had steel guitar in it back then. Your playing took me back to cane poles and transistor radios. Loved it.

I have to say, this brought back a lot of memories of when I was a youngster in Illinois back in the 60's and 70's. My father played guitar in a band and they had a fantastic Steel player. I used to love hearing him play. He kind of gave their band their signature sound. They were a great band. I believe they played together for close to 15 yrs before we moved to Arizona. The steel player eventually moved close. The whole band is pretty much gone to that great band in the sky now, but this sure was nice to hear! Thanks for posting it!!
