It reminds me of old mining town of Wittenoom gorge mines and townsite closed down from late 1980.s till now

I worked at Harbor Lights Gold Mine in 1994 for 1 year as a Mechanical Fitter.$600 a week .6 weeks on & 1 off.Drive yourself there at your cost & back.At the end of this year I took a job on the Goodwin A Gas rig for 9 months & cleared $36,000 bucks.Good by to Leonora.

My mum grew up there. In the 50s & 60s.

Must've been interesting times. The town looks like everybody just walked out. Have you ever been out there and is your mums house in the video?

@@guntermonk yes I've been there, my mums told me about the type of house she spent her childhood in, one of those little tin pot houses. 7 brothers and sisters a sick mother and a drinking miner father, tough days, couldn't ask for a better mother though, salt of the earth mate.
