This is a Missile appreciation post. Missile is the best and I love them.

We got another one boys. So glad you finally got to play the best Ace Attorney game

I believe the best way to hype the game up without spoiling it, is to talk about Shu Takumi's real dog from which Missile was modeled after. Knowing those facts will in fact make you appreciate the game's story more. So here goes... Missile was a Pomeranian adopted as a puppy by Shu Takumi in 2007. He was named after a dog that appeared in Ace Attorney 1. The dog in Ace Attorney was not a pomeranian and was only used in a throwaway gag in the game's final case (When Ace Attorney was adapted as an anime, however, Missile was retroactively redesigned to look like the real-life Missile). Shu Takumi really loved his dog as the trustly little canine pulled him out of some really dark periods of his life. He grew really attached to him and the two soon became inseperable, So, when the time came to make a game unrelated to the Ace Attorney series he KNEW he had to put Missile in it. At first the game's developers were hesitant to put in a pomeranian dog since they would have problems animating his fur. Shu Takumi, however, insisted because he wanted to immortalize Missile the way he was. The developers eventually relented when they met the little doggy and fell under its charm, and they went above and beyong to make in-game Missile as close to the real-life Missile as possible. In fact, Missile's barks in-game are recordings of the real-life Missile. This is how he really barked in real life! Err... It was not Shu Takumi's Missile though. It was a Labrador Retriever ALSO named Missile, owned by Ghost Tricks sound designer. Shu Takumi also wrote a song about Missile called "Boku Wa Missile" (you can find it easily on KZfaq), three years after the release of Ghost Trick. The song does feature barks recorded from Shu Takumi's Missile, so if you are curious how Missile sounded like, it's really worth searching it out. If it's not clear, a bit part why Shu Takumi made this game was to tell the world how awesome his dog was. Missile passed away in 2018 at the age of 11, about eight years after Ghost Trick was released. Shu Takumi said that the valiant little doggy patiently waited for him to get back from the US, barked at him and snuggled up to him one last time before quietly passing on. Rest in Peace Missile. You might not be with us, but you will forever be immortalized as the BEST BOY IN GAMING! Keep barking up there.

Having played the original, seeing so many new people getting to enjoy this game has brought so much happiness. Adding another to the Missile fan club is also excellent. Great video! Nice and succinct, covering the important parts that may sway people who have been on the fence.

Even though it's a sad event, I couldn't help but laugh when the "reconstructed in skyrim" appeared. Ghost Trick is something that's very appealing to me, I love the AA games and I will play it so much, especially since it's on steam, ghost bless!

Ooh, the Ace Attorney games are highly recommended if you liked Ghost Trick! They're admittedly not as over the top as GT - mainly because they came out much earlier on the GBA with smaller budgets, and partly because they're just more talky and have a slower pace by design. The vibes are absolutely still there, just... less condensed, I suppose? Fun fact, there is also a small Missile cameo in AA1, because both were based on and named after the dog Shu Takumi had IRL! Passed now, sadly, but lives on forever in GT as Best Boy

Missile is the goodest boy, I've never even played Ghost Trick myself and I could tell just by looking at him, and his origins being based on Takumi's irl pupper just make him all the better ;w; Also speaking of irl pets, Boris looks like a s'more and I hope he knows he's loved :3

Ghost Trick is one of the best videogames I've ever played and I'm blessed that I've forgotten 90% of what happens in it, so I can experience it like the first time once again!

ghost trick is literally perfect. the soundtrack, characters, plot, puzzles are all so good and makes ghost trick my favourite ds game ever. also we stan missile they are the best boy and a top pomeranian

I remember playing it when I was a lot younger, and listening to JelloApocolypse and co. narrate it unedited was nothing but joy for this fantastic story

I like that he says "you can talk to Missile" (hallowed be thy name) like a disgruntled therapist

I'm so glad I got the chance to watch my dad play the game on one of our DS's, while sitting idly in the car. It's what got my sister and I really into the other capcom games like AA and RE. But as a person who played the og, it's such a treat to see all these videos calling the game a masterpiece, giving the game a well-deserved community.

legit half the reason I got the game was bc you did a video on it. the other half was because people were gushing about missile being the goodest boy, perhaps even the Best Boy, and I had to see for myself. They were right. Missile is SO GOOD.....

I still don't know if I prefer the original 2d spritework done on top of the 3d models, or the approach they took on the remake, but I can definitely say both are incredibly charming

My first playthrough of ghost trick was actually from the iOS version, after I bought basically every single ace attorney game on my old iPad back in the day. This was the only one of those games I actually finished, because goddamn the story was so good, and I could recognize that even as an 8 year old XD

This video convinced me to play Ghost Trick, and I sicerly thank you for ruining my brain for the next several months.

I will forever stand by and agree that TWEWY is not just my favorite DS game but the best game ever released on the DS. I've bought something like 6 cartridge copies and 5 remakes, between gifting it to people and getting my own copies. And the sequel of course! But there's no question that Ghost Trick is a very close second... and that its remaster is 100x better than the stripped-down non-DS versions of TWEWY. :V

I played this game through completely legitimate means as a kid, and now as a grown adult with money to spare, I did my due diligence and bought it. Because they deserve all the money they can get and more. The writers and artists in this game went ALL OUT.

Guys please play ghost trick. Shu Takumi literally put his real life dog in the game! (Missile) unfortunately he passed away in 2018, but Takumi managed to immortalize his dog in the hearts of everyone who played it. He even dedicated a song to his song called "boku wa Missile" (I am missile) I just think it's really wholesome how much this man clearly loved his dog

I remember seeing the trailer for this game back then and actually forgotten about it. From time to time, I will remember the trailer of it and struggle to remember what the title is and I can't describe it because all I remember is a girl and a ghost on a junkyard. Now, here I am, watching the game I am struggling to remember and I might even try it because it is looks fun to play.

Yomiel has a weird amount in common with Yanni Yogi from ace attorney case 1-4 -has existed in a miserable state since a freak incident years ago that he couldn’t have predicted -fiancée killed herself after the incident and he named a pet after her -tries to get “revenge” on a major character who was involved in the incident as a child by framing them for murder in an isolated location -identity is a spoiler -name start with y I suspect the character concept just kept living in Takumi’s head and he reused it. I mean the fiancée pet thing is so specific

Omgg thank youuuuu, i just finished the game, it was incredible, interesting and funny characters, unique gameplay, super interesting story, awesome and cute art style, everything about the game is extremely good!!! Would recommend if you like Ace Attorney games

Speaking of the world ends with you, i was going to play it on the computer when looking for DS games to emulate that looked interesting. But playing ds games with touch screen focus on the computer is hell so i didnt get past the first minute. If you ever do make a review of it, you bet i'll be watching it.

You should ABSOLUTELY play phoenix wright ace attorney if you liked ghost trick. All the games Shu Takumi has directed, like Ghost Trick, the Phoenix Wright trilogy, The Great Ace Attorney Duology, and hell even Apollo Justice Ace Attorney (which he technically didn't direct but DID write for and you can tell) all have PHENOMENAL stories and characters with personalities that just HOOK you.
