Hi, bei 6:43 ist ein kleiner in den Untertiteln: Beim einfahrenden Zug handelt es sich um einen B80C, nicht B80D. Zwei Hinweise im Video, die das untermauern: 1. Das Fahrzeug hat das Logo der DVG, also Duisburger Verkehrsgesellschaft. Duisburg setzt B-Stadtwagen vom Typ B80C ein. 2. Scheinwerfer. Die B80C haben getrennte Leuchten, die äußeren Leuchten sind für die Front, die inneren Leuchte stellen Rück- und Bremslicht dar. Bei den B80D der Rheinbahn ist die Anordnung umgekehrt und in einem Rechteck eingefasst.

@@Aviationvlad Ich vermute mal, du bist kein deutscher Muttersprachler. Im Deutschen repariert man nur Gegenstände oder Software. Passender in deinem Fall wäre "... Ich werde es korrigieren." _oder,_ falls du hundertprozentig sichergehen möchtest "... Ich werde es ausbessern.".

Ich habe eher an das Stadtbahnnetz gedacht, da dies der einzige Ort ist, an dem eine Stadtbahnlinie den Fluss überquert. Aber im Großen und Ganzen hast du recht, auch die „normale“ Straßenbahnlinie 709 überquert den Fluss über eine andere Brücke :)

Die 709 hat exakt den selben Fahrtverlauf wie damals auch, der Theodor Heuss Platz liegt direkt neben dem Neusser Hbf vielleicht daher die Verwirrung. Einzelne Fahrten enden sogar statt am Theodor Heuss Platz direkt am Hauptbahnhof, weil sie dann geradeaus weiter zum Depot fährt anstatt in die Schleife abzubiegen um dort am Theodor Heuss Platz zu wenden.

Good question to be honest, I don't know the system so precise. Possibly this was planned to handle 3-car (or even 4-car) sets in future, like it happens in North American cities like Denver, Calgary or Edmonton.

@@Aviationvlad 3 car trains are used during football games and trade fairs but only on line U78. That is because for tram/light rail vehicles longer than 75m you need special permission to run them on the road (a single Stadbahn car has a length of 28.5m) 4 car trains were rarely used as additional trains during carnival and new years eve rush hours, but only on the short main section between Düsseldorf Hbf and Heinrich-Heine-Allee. Nowadays these additional services also run with 3 instead of 4 cars as more isnt really worth the effort. (the main section already has 30tph on regular monday to saturday service in each direction, and 36tph in morning rush so the frequency already is quite impressive.)

TBH, that's quite an interesting thing, I've seen a non-standard layout of doors on these units, but I don't know the context and history of them. Were they with buffets previously? 😶

@@Aviationvlad They were used on 2 Mainlines, Linie K, the one to Krefeld and Linie D, the one to Duisburg. But now as they dont have the Buffet, they just drive on any line, Like on the U78. Fun Fact: the GT8S (a Tram which got made redundant in 2010) had a Buffet version too, which luckily is now getting modernised so we can go and check it out in the Museum at Am Steinberg.
