There were only 2 cues worth mentioning/listening to: the first trailer (remixed to instrumental by someone on KZfaq, worth checking out), and a cue called "Battle Of Times Square." That was about all I recall of that movie.

The Ghostbusters have ALWAYS laughed in the face of danger. Why should this be any different?

Ghostbusters literally begins with Ray, Venkman and Spengler helplessly running away in terror of the library ghost and it ends with Spengler being, "terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought." In Afterlife they treated the existence of supernatural ghosts as a small, mundane inconvenience, which is just bad screenwriting, and this is giving me those same vibes. If they treat the threat as a joke and don't take it seriously, then neither do I. It just takes me out of movie and it breaks my heart because I adore the franchise.

@endOfRandy Oh bull! They sure as hell did NOT treat the ghosts in Afterlife like they were small mundane inconveniences, that is wrong information and you know it. The ghosts in afterlife were capable of being at best public menaces, chaotic pests, and at the very worst murderous or nightmarishly lovecraftian and apocalyptic...especially the movies returning big bad which they totally treated as a serious threat and not a joke...in other words they were treated the same as they have been across all movies and the franchise. Seriously...How can a 'huge fan of Ghostbusters' who adores the franchise say this false information about Ghostbusters Afterlife and call it truth and facts?

@hero6425 Phoebe see's a chess piece float right before her eyes and knock another piece away, then just casually accepts that ghosts are real. No big deal. "10 minutes ago I didn't believe in ghosts, but I guess they exist. Hugh, the more you know. Meh." Grooberson, Phoebe and Podcast open a ghost trap, see a terrifyingly scary, supernatural creature escape and fly away and they proceed to go about their day as if nothing spectacular just happened. Grooberson then _casually_ drives them home and flirts with Callie, as if nothing incredible beyond rationality just happened. Podcast isn't even remotely scared by the ghost, but rather just excited about it. _"Wee!"_ Finn Wolfhard is hardly even phased seeing Muncher. He's just like, "Okay, I guess ghosts exist. Let's catch it. No big deal." He's more concerned about going to jail than the fact that _ghosts are real and demonstrably dangerous._ *Have you **_seen_** Ghosbusters?* Phoebe _literally_ makes terrible dad Jokes (which is a fun scene) to *Gozer the Gozerian* with little to no fear. She even taunts Gozer before setting her mom free from being a Terror Dog. Effectively making Gozer a joke. The ghosts were absolutely never treated as a viable threat. I'm a huge fan of Ghosbtusters and I even cried during the trailers for Afterlife because the trailer is beautiful, but bad writing is bad writing. That's ignoring the grossly unecssary nostalgia dumps. For the record, I like Afterlife a lot more than not, but as the huge of a dork that I am, I'm more of a fan of quality cinema and writing over mediocre film making. I'm fair. Also, to add on, Venkman was utterly helpless and terrified when he saw the library ghost and Slimer. It makes me nervous for the character. Phoebe and Podcast see Muncher and react as if they just saw a loose dog that they need to catch. It makes me feel nothing for their well-being. Don't accuse me of lying simply for just being fair and rational. That or we watched different movies? Are you confusing Afterlife with Evil Dead?

It's a comedy with serious elements. If you want a straight up comedy you can watch Ghostbusters 2016

@@edwardjohnson6744 That was a tragedy not a comedy,but the classic ghost busters was comedic mostly that's why it needs this new more funny stuff.Its not stranger things but ghost busters.

@@TwesomE - Stranger Things has plenty of comedy, and it is a heartfelt homage to all things 80s. Ghostbusters cannot be Stranger Things when Stranger Things is trying to be Ghostbusters.

@@edwardjohnson6744 Well as i witnessed they tried a drama which resemples this in afterlife,but i believe we will see something close to the same in frozen empire as well.Not a bad film the first one,but we can wait and see for the second one! Fingers crossed! 😉

@@TwesomE Both the original and prequel Star Wars trilogies got more serious after the first movies. They were better that way. Ghostbusters 1 had plenty of serious stuff, like Ray and Winston discussing the bible and Egon talking about the end of the world coming.
