Lovely documentary, I grew up with the Ghostbusters. I would always smile everytime I saw the Ecto-1 in the 80's cartoon or either movies. Brings back so many memories of my childhood. God bless

Welcome to the club, although I'm no longer in it. Owning an Ecto-1 is pretty much being on the top of the movie car food chain. The only problem is "the curse." It's not that "something" goes wrong, it's that some "one-in-a-million thing" goes wrong. A flood you say? Sean's Ecto tried to kill him at least once, mine tried to kill me several times. The minute you put that decal on the door, anything can happen. Godspeed Nick, it's an adventure.

As a Ghostbuster fan, I understand the time and money it took to realize your dream car was truly a labor of love a homage to a franchise that still inspires fans to create their own Ecto-1 or take part in a fan production.

I grew up with the Ghostbusters being my all time childhood favorite! It's been my dream to try to build a replicate ecto-one and I myself would like to do something similar as you did. I live in Los Angeles but cannot find anyone to help me locate and build which I know this is going to be the most difficult part, but I'm willing to look for someone to help me make this dream come true pay them for their time. I enjoyed your video 💯

Definitely inspiring! We’re gonna be creating our own Ecto one soon as well! Definitely too much nostalgia, money, and time put into that car to just junk it after a flood. Glad it’s back in operation!

I am aware that 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Futura Duplex cars aren't easy to come by nowadays, but if I were fortunate to come across one in good condition on the outside and inside a little rusted that someone wanted to sell at a fair reasonable price, I would definitely buy it, take it off of their hands and convert it into my very own film-accurate replica of the Ecto-1 down to the last detail and I would use the Blitzway 1/6 scale Ecto-1 as a reference model and the Haynes Ectomobile Owner's Workshop Manual to have something to go by.

Thank you for not painting the storage tube on the passenger side neon greenish yellow. Idk why people do that, it is not accurate, the only reason people think it is that color is because toy/model manufacturers can’t make the car too accurate due to licensing.

The only thing that's not spot on is the license plate. It should be new York with the statue of liberty. With California plates it looks very Hollywood

How is he supposed to actually drive the car with fake license plates? I'm sure he has the "official" plates for car shows and when Ecto is not on the streets.
