I just made this rack. I'm gonna add Krush. Even the free version of this plugin has some awesome presets for messing around with the soundwave. I'm going to experiment with one at both ends of the chain.

Probably best soundesign tutorial that i found... Nice clean bass sound....didnt even know what does wave shaper do but its just a cliper on some sort.

Lol the waveshaper trick is a good one. I run my masters through an untouched waveshaper to stick it at 0db after a maximus

ORDER - Detection band filter order (1,2,3,4). Lower setting (1) has a lower slope to the input window edges while higher settings (4) have a steeper slope to the input window edges. In other words, the filter order adjusts the roll-off in sensitivity either side of the central detection frequency. The default setting (2) is usually good, when adjusting by ear, sounds good, is good!

oy anyone know how to fix everytime I open a plug in in the mixer it appears behind the mixer? then I have to close the mixer. Also my plug ins are MAD zoomed in even when I detach them its still hard to see the bottom

me using trial: *just adds 1 a soundgoodizer and 1 c or b soundgoodizer on top and turning it down* it isn't thicc enough because this one specifically is weak *bass boosts with pEQ2*

Hello Will, thank you for this thick rack, I have a quick question tho, why your sound goes above 0 after the patcher when it have soft clipper which should avoid that ? I don't get it. Thank you!

Soft clippers actually don't actually have the flat top or ceiling that hardclippers do. If you compare the shapes you'll see the soft clipper has an angled ceiling rather than flat. Hardclippers are the ones that keep the sound from going above a certain dB.

I recreated this using Blue Cat Audio's Patchwork by putting a stock multiband comp, Vocodex, stock EQ in its PRE section, going into three FX chains with Patchwork's built-in EQ/waveshaper/waveshaper (waveshapers set to saturate), and the final waveshaper is in the POST section.
