Does the Pac-C2R-CHY4 kit come with a Steering wheel Adapter? Im about to do this exact install with a Pionner DD for a 2010 Avenger R/T for a roommate but he wants to keep steering wheel controls. any feedback would be much appricated. Thanks!

I connected a wiring harness without the PAC and when I used a regular wiring harness, I would get bad distortion and feedback at anything above level 20 when turning the volume up on my kenwood. Any idea why or suggestions? I've seen some people say that they didn't use a PAC and had no issues. Thanks

I have a buddy with an 2012 Avenger who, the previous owner cut the OEM wire harness off, and lost the cut plug. Basically alls that's behind the stock deck is wires all cut, and a non working unit. Any suggestions on how to go about getting things back into working condition would be much appreciated

Is that sony the same size on height as the original avenger stereo? I've bought this Pioneer Fh-x720bt, I have no idea how to install it, so I took it to a car audio shop, but they told me it won't fit. Is this true? Or they are just lazy to do it? They told me I need to change the structure of the inside receiver.

what steering wheel interface do you recommend?

Im saying I DIDNT plug the antenna into the yellow end of the black cable, I plugged it into the PINK cable. Maybe this is causing the radio to clear the TPMS when the mods buttonis pressed?

Why does the radio need to access the CAN bus and connect to the ECU before it works? I have a 2011 caravan that I want to change out and replace it with a 3rd party deck with backup cam, it has Uconnect on it already. Can I use just do a rewire from the Uconnect from the steering and mics to the radio? Also can I go without buying a PAC module at all? I just want to install the radio as simple as possible with retaining Uconnect on on my steering and external factory mics. I have seen 3rd party wiring harnesses and not keen in spending more money on anything other than just replacing the radio with a viewing screen for my backup cam. I have seen a lot of 3rd party hack/bypass and etc going for $50 to $150 or so and definitely not interesting spending that on my $50 radio found on ebay from china.

Hey guys I have changed the stereo in my 2008 Avenger with the Boston audio system in it for a new Pioneer F960. I currently only get rear audio through all speakers. So I do not get any guidance instructions or Siri use via CarPlay. Any help?

I'm wondering , I have a 2006 Dodge charger with a factory Amp 6 disc, mp3 radio in the front and with factory rear seat dvd player and screen. There are two front radio wiring harness's that connected to the factory radio. A 22- pin connector and either a 10 or 11 pin connector, sorry can't remember the correct number as I'm writing this. Would you know what the smaller of the two harness's is for....the rear dvd player? or is it the factory Amp?

I've Installed prob 80+ decks from working in a shop years ago. I threw a DD deck in a 2011 avenger, Only used the wire harness and NO pac module. Wired the switched directly to the cig lighter like many times before. Super easy. When she plays her stereo, when she taps the MODE button on hd u it (soundstream radio), it CLEARS the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system). Freaking weird. Again it's straight forward, but i hooked up the PINK wire (looks like a network cable) for antenna and the radio worked fine. When I hooked up the black wire (the one you chngd at the end), I didn't get radio reception (maybe it wasn't in right). Do you know WHAT the PINK line is? Looks like I nd to break it down again but the wiring was straight forward on the harness. What EXACTLY does the pac module DO for the Install? Others I saw only bought the wire harness and antenna like I did. I know it communicates with the car, but do you know what communication it runs and WHY its needed? Other than steering controls etc? Thanks for your help.

Book Gee the pac module some times just does basic chime functions but for vehicles like say my gti it actually chats with the car computer so if you hook up the module the car actually talks with the radio and changes radio stations and does funky stuff. dodges use the canbus system so it might also integrate with the cars canbus system.

ghostlyrich Thku ghostlyrich. Appreciate the feedback. Maybe because I hooked up the white white to the antenna and not the black with the black end cap, maybe that's the issue. I didn't get radio reception when using the antenna wire in the video. Again the for the description. That's helps me out

What else is downline of the headunit (signal path)? Were did you tap into switched 12v? What kind of head unit is it? I'd initially check the ground on the deck. Sometimes it helps to find a different ground for the head unit vs use the one that's in the factory harness. You probably already tried that, but make sure those wires are hooked up correctly on the back of your new head unit. I rarely use pac, I purchase new harnesses for all the installs, but the Dodge avenger proved to be just a small challenge. Make sure you know the impedances of the speakers in there vs what the deck can handle.. It'll be something simple...I'll try to help you out. Since we've done about four with no issues using simple/basic Install guidelines.. The last avenger was a stupid system.

If you choose not to disconnect your cars power make sure your wiring is 100%.. I suggest any first time installer do so or you could be chasing fuses for hours.

Not sure if you quite realized, but whenever you say yes or see this and the videos on there for point one seconds, no I don't see this. Maybe you should slow down a little bit so that way, people can actually visualize what you did because we're not as technically savvy as you and we don't have the instructions. That's while we're watching your video, maybe?
