Ghosts of Old Mexico, Epic Coues Deer Hunt. In this episode of Epic Outdoors Jason heads to Mexico in search of the elusive Coues Deer. The Coues whitetail deer is a Southwest subspecies of the common Eastern whitetail. Coues deer provide a unique challenge as their small size makes them tough to spot. They often live in the extremely thick cover where they are engulfed by brush, grass, or trees. Mexico holds some great Coues Deer habitat with some amazing bucks taken every year. On this hunt Jason sets his sights on one particular buck with a split eye guard.
