This one hits very close to home. As a veteran, I have friends with PTSD who are still very much in pain. I had tears through most of this. Great story.

Helluva story. I do wish that those actually responsible for the massacre would have faced justice. Still, this was an A-PLUS story.

Really a great story, I'm proud of the American Armed forces actions and know it is not always graced with nobility, however most of the the young sons and daughters serving reflect the teaching of their parents and service with faith and humanity and try to do their best in tough comstances.

I admit it took me a while to get ready for a 3 hour story, but it was totally worth the wait. It was an exceptional story, to be listened to with the soul. Well done LLC!

Truley one of if not the best. Back in '97/98 I worked as a massage therapist in a pain and rehab center in SW Virginia. I had the honor of meeting and befriending many vets, mostly from Vietnam. The doc who ran the clinic never charged his vets as his FIL was still mia from the Korean war. Anyway, one my patients related a story much like that of Jonas. They were on the edge of a rice patty. There were a bunch of kids crossing the field. They were carrying satchel charges and other explosives. The leuy ordered his men to take out rhe kids. My friend refused. When confronted by the commanding officer, he explained. Those kids are doing this because they are forced to and don't deserve to die, the Viet Kong are watching. The first time we fire the Kong will drop morters on us like spring rain, we will all die. His CO thought about it and rescinded his order. Many lives were saved that day , both American and Vietnamese. All because a seasoned veteran had the presence of mind and a heart of compassion spoke up and an officer had enough common sence and lack of excessive ego to listen.

I found this story very interesting. And hope we can get some more like this. As have heard quite a few of the cheating ones. Am liking hearing something new and different.

I have a parent who served in the military for 37yrs. They started as a private and retired a warrant officer. They were 17yrs when they joined, 18yrs when they were sent to Vietnam. They didn’t smoke or drink alcohol prior and, returned a 2pack a day. They retired at 55yrs. PTSD became strong after retirement. I was the first person they shared the horror stories to within our immediate family. I am their daughter. When ANZAC day comes around it is the only day now that they mourn. I the carer am always on high alert so they can freely express themselves. It is a privilege to support. Thank you for this gripping and touching story.

One of the hardest things intelligence faced in Afghanistan was how nimble the Taliban, ISKP, and GRU and MSS were, and how efficiently they could communicate. In time, I was associated with several different teams which lost men due to successfully acting to protect civilians and children. We were not always successful, but literally as part of SOP in Iran, Iraq, Somalia, and Syria, civilians were a critical disposable resource used by all enemies.

1:12:15 the thing is, even tho MC was vindicated and was freed of any blame n wrong doing, the real criminals, often, got away scotfree.
