I really like how you communicate with the community how the work is done and why you are doing what you are doing. GHPC is a great game, I am really looking forward to the future and totally hyped for infantry and - of course - west germany with the leopard tanks 🙂

In reference to the 72M1 being in the game even though it wasn't in service until 1987 but the NVA needs all the help they can get so screw it, I assume that's why the BMP-1P can be used by the NVA as well? My one book source says 1987 for it as well.

Emphasis towards long range, real world engagements would be best. Along with A.I. that can actually use hull down and shoot n scoot techniques, variably. Along with choppers and MPAT rounds Been simming since 1998. Thanks.

As someone who tried making their own tank game I really feel that engine simulation discussion I would try and use irl stats and just end up with terribly weak tanks

This is the best thing I remember after Steel Beasts. The project is still far from being completed, but it already looks promising. I sincerely wish success to the creators of this game.

Good points about the M833 DOI. That was double the case for the 3BM-32 IICR. It was very hard for both sides to produce long rods with consistent mineral matrix in the alloys. Improperly quench or forge a batch of rods and the chance of long rod breakup as it exited the gun was rather high. The longer the round the more difficult it was to mitigate this issue. The USA seemed to really figure it out in 1984, which is around the time they hit their stride with the DU armor components to go into the M1A1HA and the development of what became the M829A1. It ties into a larger point about the armor packages of the NATO cold war tanks. The views publicly seemed to go from both extremes. The idea that the M1, Leo-2, and Challenger 1 all had super thick composite armor that made them frontally impervious was replaced quickly with the opinion that the NATO tanks armor was nonexistent vs KE rounds as the 3BM-42/32 would fly right through. The reality is that these armor packages developed in the mid 1970s, would have done rather well against the ammunition that would have actually been available to most of the USSR tanks up until the end of the 1980s.

I bet SHORAD gameplay would be pretty fun, switching to a Gepard or Shilka to take down a helicopter pestering your attack force. Regardless, I hope you guys take all the suggestions and questions for features and additions as an indication of the potential of what you've created and the spark of imagination it creates in the player - "wouldn't it be fun if!?" It's really fun already, nice work, can't wait to see whats to come!

This is looking really nice, I hope it has some fake news cutscenes in the campaigns for flavour. Like mi1 tank platoon 2 did. I love that side of mil sims. The alternate earth aspect.

Tutorials are annoying and suck when they're mandatory, optional tutorials would definitely be extremely helpful.

The "vehicle mastery/performance rating" sounds nice, I would welcome that. Are there going to be UI improvements? That simple context menu with submenus, is one of the main things, why I am waiting before buying the game, it just seems very cumbersome and relatively straightforward potential improvement. This was probably asked many times - Is there going to be map with denser/bigger urban areas or just something more different to currently existing map(s) in game? From gameplay videos, I have seen so far, the map/environment variety seems low for now (although that could be due to limited number of assets, rather than lack of terrain variation). Regarding driving the tank, will there be option for manual/semi manual gear shifting or other more detailed driving features? Is there going to be some kind of mud or other different terrain effects? One of the criticisms of War Thunder is rather basic and often unintuitive vehicle behavior on different terrains, so this could be another "advantage" of GHPC. I understand that Snowrunner level of physics is unlikely, but I would really welcome better/more fleshed out overall driving experience over other tank games. Bonus question:) Do you have more developer chat videos planned? I really like the ones you have made so far:) Anyway, I am really grateful for you making GHPC and I am looking forward to future updates and improvements coming into the game!:)

I am still expecting the M47 Dragon ATGM, when will finally has come.

Is there any more optimization that'll be for Controllers besides the Steam ability to change controls on controllers, other than that, the game runs fairly decently on the Steam Deck, only major complaint for it is optimization and not having enough buttons to use every control in the game

Need infantry update so bad, it would make this game 10x better honestly especially if you can use infantry weapons like RPGs etc.

you can't run over infantry. What. I cant think of another game with vehicular combat and infantry that you can't do this in. A Lot of good suggestions were blown off here i suggest you guys watch or play some graviteam games for inspiration.

Would be awesome if the einterior of the tank would be simulated to an ultimate level sim. Like steel beasts, so there is a competitor to steel beasts that is just as good and more afordable. Would be awesome. Also, maybe to mutch to ask, embarking amd disembarking the tank?

Why stuck on this specific year of 1985 and not make a 2 or 3 years all together. It's still cold war and you get more machines to make different scenarios. You said you wanted the T55 variations that came in late 80s but they were not specifically in 1985. That limits a lot of things in the game. Still cold war era just expand the years that you are working on. Unless you plan to do that along the way when the major stuff are in the game already and I don't mean after 1.0 as a DLC or whatever.

Ah yes a game about making crews die a firery death for fun but killing livestock in a video game or goofing around running over basic ai soldiers is too far and 'teenager edgy'... I think even just static livestock would make wonders for immersion as it would make the static map much more alive, as it would be arguably realistic for any left livestock to be scattered around whilst any civilians would've already rushed evacuation in a sudden invasion breakout scenario.

In my opinion that mission editor is pointless. Those were designed for specific tank with specific equipment so instead of M60 we can pick T-80 and fight with T-55s, kinda break immersion. Beside that I am looking forward and hoping for more cool content.
