A perfect example of 'Guru - Shisya Parampara' of the Golden Era of the Hindustani Classical Music ! Professionalism, perfection, and sophistication in performance is the hallmark of Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab !What a wonderful feeling it has been ! It has striken me at the core of my heart and has kept me motionless and spellbound during the entire rendition, compelling me to listen to it several times over in a single sitting ! Yeh thumri ustad ne bohot khubsorat andaz se pesh ki, mere khayal se ustad bare ghulam Ali se bhi khubsorat gai he agar bare ustad khod hote to wo bhi tareef karte gaiki ki or ustad taari ke table ki, wah khan sahab.☺

Anik Maitra The original song is by Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.. But he who is singing the song is not Chhote Ghulam Ali Khan, he is Ghulam Ali the Ghazal exponent .Chhote Ghulam Ali Khan is another Ustad from Pakistan. You can find some interviews and songs of Chhote Ghulam Ali Khan on KZfaq, but he is a different person altogether... I know many people are into this confusion. In fact, I was also confused before... But all the three are jewels, that's for sure..

ashutosh raj sharma yes. Ghulam Ali's father was a huge fan of Ud. Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, so he wanted his son to learn from him. But after partition ustad ji came to India but Barkat Ali stayed in Pakistan. So ustadji gave him to his brother.

I dont think that. bade ghulam ali saheb may will appreciate but not that standard. Ghulam Ali Sahib singing according to what he practised more. And definitely he didnt practised Raags and thumrees like his grand teacher did.
