Overall, this was a great review of a figure that I have zero nostalgia for. I ended up picking one up, and this is the first Classified figure I've done that with. When it comes down to it, I have to say that this two-time '93-'94' Blockbuster video game champion figure is pretty f*@king fun. Love the bullet proof mullet and over-the-top weapon load out he comes with. Great work by you and the Hasbro Joe team bringing to light and giving me something "new" to love in the GI Joe line.

I'm old enough to recall o-ring joes, getting super loose quickly, and their often bent weapon barrels with no painted detail, trust me, y'all got it great now days.

Great review and a great figure that is let down by the missiles. I agree the front of the launchers should come off to place the missiles in. Another figure that I can see buying secondary pieces for to get him to the way that I want. Overall a 8/10 for me

Imo Classified is really starting to get interesting now. I was unimpressed the first couple of years but they have really course corrected and are starting to get into deep cuts with the DIC era. Really loving this guy and Big Boa. Makes me wonder how much deeper they are going to go. It’s a really great time to be collecting Classified.

As someone who has been pretty excited for a few months now about buying all the new Cobra/Cobra-adjacent bad guys as they come out, I can honestly say that Metalhead is one I am comfortable waiting until he goes on sale at some point on Amazon or whatever, or maybe I never even bother. He looks fun overall but that rocket backpack looks like a pain in the ass that will inevitably end up causing 8-fig pileups on my shelves when he falls over into them 😂

I remember this guy from the DIC cartoon. He would constantly say, "Range x feet! Bang! Bang!" firing off missiles. How he braced himself while firing missiles, I don't know. Or how his launchers reloaded, I don't know either. Maybe there was a Iron Grenadier trooper reloading his launchers off screen. Or he had accesss to 3rd space like TFs did

Great review. Disappointed about the missiles not fitting in without the blast effects. But he is a striking figure when he’s posed and blasting.

With his helmet and color he will fit great as leader of Garrison Cavalry

I loved him in the cartoon show, and had the o-ring figure. This is a definite buy, mines coming in couple days! Might be able to shave down the missile fins to make them fit top loaders without blast effect. I'm definitely skipping a lot of figures though. Decided I'm gonna cancel Techno Viper; he's cool but plain I could imagine so many more figures to be excited for over him. Probably gonna sell my original Scarlet & Duke still MISB now that the better retro ones are here.

He does look great , that gladiator helmet is awesome new update. I posed him next to scrap iron.

He was one of the last figures i bought back in the day. Cool figure then, cool fogure now.

It really bugs me that the missiles don't fit in the tubes nicely. I feel like this is borderline not-deluxe and that the blast effects, alternate hair and helmet weren't worth the extra money. I would rather have missiles that fit in the tubes than the blast effects.

This figure really surprised me. I had no attachment to the character either and didn't really like him at all from the cartoon. But damn it's a great figure. Wish those missiles fit in the top though.

Who on earth would want to march into battle with a bunch of rockets strapped on you?! I’d be like “can’t you just strap them onto a vehicle I could drive? At least I’ll have something to hide behind! 😂😂

This guy was so silly in the cartoon. In the comic. He was ok. But I would like to troop build the grenadiers. I hope the won’t pink out too much Voltar or the annihilator.

This guy reminds me if that gamer named Dr Disrespect that my son watches was in Cobra. Yeah it’s a little out there but it might be what someone wants. I think he’s cool but I like to keep it more realistic. Everyone needs to collect what they want to collect and not what others want. Yo Joe

Great review. Mine arrived this morning. The main problem is the hoses constantly pop off the thigh rockets with minimal movement, which is annoying while posing. Other than that, I haven’t noticed any other issues so far (besides the usual soft gummy weapons).

I got mine yesterday. The figure is pretty great but the rocket gimmick is lacking. My backpack falls off. I was disappointed that you cant place the back missiles in their non launch mode. The thigh launchers have holes in the back, so you can put the smoke effect in to get a kind of, rockets are just igniting effect. One of my thing holders needs the hole drilled out more or something. It bends the peg when you try to put it on. Take the facial hair off and its Thrasher. There is a sculpted hinge mid way on the back launchers arm. If it was real, then you could lay the rockets vertically and fire them straight up like on the show. I'm not sure but there is a bomb blast or missile blast vulture and he has similar launchers, so I wonder if some repurposing of molds is occurring. 3-D printer or silicon mold to the rescue I guess.

Since the cartoon and the original figure always had the goggles on, I can't see displaying him any other way. Nice of them to include normal hair without them I guess though.

Cobra Metal Head is probably because of copyright reasons. They do it with transformers all the time.

I'm hoping that a third party will make mountable missiles to put into the launchers, I'm tempted to buy a second one just to kit-bash the missiles into the launchers

This is my most anticipated figure so far out of the line. I used to love Metalhead when I was a kid. Hopefully I don’t have hose problems like other people did. But still, I can’t wait.

The O-ring did not come with a helmet. Only goggles.

Those movie figures are underrated people didn't give them a chance but when you look at them there the most realistic of the line

Seeing this review reinforced that I didn't really need or want this fig. I will definitely not be putting the BS on him and probably using a Grid Iron Studio load out of some kind

So I just set my copy up....and I'm only saying this here because this is the only review I watched of this figure... This figure is a first class piece of shit. Very poorly constructed. Hasbro should be ashamed. I paid $25 for this atrocity. I'll see you next weekend target...have my money ready.

If you trim the back fins on the backpack missiles, do you think the missiles would fit in the tubes then? It's a great figure overall, but the fact that the missiles can only be used one way is a huge miss. Making all the ports more universal on these figures would greatly increase the potential for some simple customizing.
