Nick Wright talks Giannis Antetokounmpo, and the narrative that Khris Middleton could steal the MVP from him. Nick not only points out Giannis' stellar performances in the NBA Finals as he leads the Milwaukee Bucks against the Phoenix Suns, but states that Giannis is the most disrespected player in the league, and maybe in all of sports.

Giannis is an "old school" player, thats why. He doesnt buddy up with other players to win a chip, he doesnt know players from age 10 cause he wasnt in AAU, he wants to beat the best instead of join them, he believes in his team and his teammates that arent HOF's, he's ruining narratives that USA players are the absolute best, he doesnt care if he's respected by players or not, only his team and his city. Why do “fans” hate when a player says he’s the best in the league. As a basketball player (me) you have to truly believe you are the best on the court. We have literally never seen an ally oop dunk to seal a finals win in nba history. You know what’s even more hilarious about Brandon’s take? Go back and watch his reaction to the in bounds alley opp dunk to Ayton to bear the clippers. Go ahead and watch how he reacted. Now watch how he completely disrespects and dismisses Giannis for doing an even more impressive one given how he was pushed. We have seen it a 1000 times. We have also seen step back 3’s and logo 3’s a billion times. So? Is it less cool because it’s been done before? Middleton had one of the greatest calls in the finals with “more Middleton magic” because of a step back 3, but was that more impressive and electrifying than a game winning alley oop dunk? Absolutely not. Both are amazingly excellent clutch basketball plays that combined won the Bucks the basketball game. Brandon is proving Nicks point. Giannis is the most disrespected super star in the nba.

@@dymtheartist3502 you clearly don’t watch enough full games of basketball… shaq wasn’t somebody who was going to fadeaway for a jumpshot either, yet he’s the most dominant force that the nba has probably ever seen. there’s more to clutch than game winning fade aways… if you’ve watched this finals at all you should know that… you don’t have to be a great shot maker to be a clutch basketball player… i don’t get it man, Giannis is 26, he’s still 2-3 years out from reaching his full potential, and people still find a way to discredit him. There isn’t a player Alive that doesn’t have a blemish on their resume in the clutch, or a weakness in their overall games. Giannis is on an absolutely historic run numbers wise, and moments wise this year. Start appreciating the greatness.

Everyone saying if the nets were healthy, basically that it would take 3 Hall of famers to stop this man. Lmfao. Harden came into the season out of shape, finished season injured hmmm 🤔 Kyrie took off a good portion of the season, ends the season injured…. Hmmm (this was more accidental though) BUT STAYING HEALTHY IS A PART OF THE GAME

I posted this on an ESPN video, but I'll post it here as well. As crazy as it sounds, if he wins the title this year that catapults him into being probably the 2nd greatest PF ever behind Duncan, ahead of Dirk or KG (and if not above them without a doubt in that tier with them behind Duncan-fun fact, he already has as many MVPs and DPOYs as KG and Dirk *combined*), and definitely above Barkley, McHale, Davis, or Malone; he'll have better career averages and more accolades already than any of them (not to mention the eye test, not one of them were as dominant as he is on both ends, not even Duncan), and also probably puts him into a top 20-25-ish all-time guy already, at only 26 years old. He has serious potential to reach pantheon status, top 10 all-timer level. His resume is STACKED. 2x MVP (back to back) DPOY (won in tandem with an MVP that year, only 3rd player to ever do it) MIP (only winner of this award to ever go on to win an MVP) 5x all-star ASG MVP 2x ASG captain 5x All-NBA 4x All-Defensive 13-14 All-Rookie NBA Champion Finals MVP at 26!!! Probably the best resume at that age ever. Only maybe Magic, Bird, or Russell are comparable; and compared to other modern pantheon level guys-LBJ, KD, or Steph didn't have this type of resume yet at that age. This guy is well on his way to being truly legendary.

I understand Giannis has holes in his game but EVERYONE has holes in their game. Giannis can’t shoot but Dame for example isn’t a DPOY. All these perimeter guys that people want to put over Giannis can’t do all the things he can do. If anything Giannis is making the holes in other superstar’s game more obvious. We’ve over inflated offense so much that we treat defensive liabilities like they’re 2-way stars and they’re not.

Does it really matter when you can have a game with 42-13-4 with 2 blocks? Do people realy care that Giannis can't do a step back 3pointer? If his holes are such a big deal, stop the guy. Win matters, and Giannis wins.

12:15 electrifying is probably the wrong way to say it, the matter was that Henry's runs were all insane and unique in the sense they all had his signature. Plays in the NFL have so much more context and people in them that it's easier to have more unique situations. Giannis' plays this playoffs arent new, they are special but the reason HE is special is because he dominates everyone and there's no answer for him, we expected this version of him the past 2 years and he didnt show up when it mattered.
