Fun fact about the Fraidy Cat shorts: Mill Creek was technically breaking the law because despite popular belief, Fraidy Cat and Wacky and Packy are not in the public domain, with them and the Filmation library being owned by Dreamworks/NBCUniversal. The only reason they even managed to even have “entered” it, is that Filmation forgot to put copyright information on the titles.

I can't even begin to tell you the enjoyment this collection has brought me. It's my go-to late night guilty pleasure.

Fun fact: Joe Glow The Firefly is the only Looney Tune cartoon to be found in the collection. Not counting The Booze Hangs High because the duck scene is found at the end of Circus Capers by accident. I know The Booze Hangs High is in public domain, but wasn’t included in the collection. Also, Hector’s Hectic Life was added twice. Therefore, it’s a error.

Most of the cartoons in this set were made by Paramount including Popeye, Betty Boop, those sing along cartoons called Screen Songs, Little Lulu, Little Audrey, Hunky and Spunky, Casper, Baby Huey, Gabby, and many one offs. Btw if you think the packaging for that set back then is bad, it’s reprint from 2016 is even worse. Also the 50 movie sets have the same packaging as the 2016 rerelease of this set when they were released again around the same time. The 50 movie sets original came in packaging similar to how this set is.

No that is not Heckle and Jeckle! Heckle and Jeckle is rare and I am still looking for that on dvd or dvd-r. Heckle and Jeckle are talking magpies that look like crows.

I got this DVD pack at home. The thing I find weird about this pack is that it actually contains sounds live action short films in the Christmas cartoon section.

You're right about the set containing cartoons from other cartoon collections. I own an early set released by Mill Creek which has almost all of the exact cartoons on the first three discs.

What I don't understand is why this doesn't contain any of the Looney Tunes/Merrie Meldoies that are in the public domain.

"Me Musical Nephews" is the only Famous Studios/Popeye Cartoon from the 40s had entered Public Domain but not the other 40s shorts (they're all copyrighted), It sucks when all the 50s Popeye shorts from Famous Studios who entered Public Domain Back in the 80s, MGM/UA Home Video released the collection of Popeye Cartoons from the 40s on VHS and titled "The Best of Popeye: Vol. 1", but they cancelled the released because Popeye was owned by KFC (King Features Corporation)

I bought this @ 3:49 cranker barrel for $19.99 about 2020. I’ve yet to still watch all the DVDs.

I remember finding this at my local cracker barrel restaraunt when they maybe still sold movies?.Idk if they still do but they had this for 29.99.Good deal for alot of these cartoon shows.

It's good that Shout Factory , Cookie Jar, Mill Creek Entertainment, Viz Media, Funimation and other DVD comapany made a lot of Cartoons/Anime series from the 80's, 90's, 2000 and beyond in complete DVD collections over the years like Transformers, Power Rangers, Super Mario Bros, Miraculous Ladybuy and other animated series. But I still wished they have done something interesting for a changed like released some past Cartoons/ Anime shown in UK/USA/ Australia from the 90's, 2000 and beyond like: Cartoons: Blazin Dragons, Space cats, Starla and the Jewel Riders, The Addams Family, Creepy Crawlers,Mighty Ducks, Mary Kate and Ashley in Action, Biker Mice from Mars 1993 and Gormiti Nature Unleashed. Anime: Cardcaptors, Spider Riders, Yo Kai Watch and Ultimate Muscles. It may sound a lot to wished for but if you have some favourites Cartoons/Anime memories from your childhood like me then you would understand from what I'm coming from even though it's unsudden if it even going to happen in the future. I know a few of them were released into DVD in the past but none of them were in complete DVD collections like Transformers and Pokemon. I think it's about time that Shout Factory and other DVD comapany should think of making them into DVD because that could make them successful.

They say 600 cartoons. However there's a few cartoons they added twice. Ub Iwerks "little boy blue" appears twice in this set. However they used both the original print and the castle films print which renamed it to "The Big Bad Wolf". I guess they thought those two were two different cartoons. Another cartoon is "Hector’s Hectic Life" first in stash of miscellaneous cartoons then in a another disc with Christmas cartoons. Which by the way most of the "Christmas cartoons". Are mostly old live action television Christmas programs they use to broadcast on tv or something like that. One other thing I wanted to point out that I find every odd. One of the disc has listed a Cubby Bear cartoon called "The Gay Gaucho" however for the life of me I couldn't find it. There is a Cubby Bear cartoon called "Robin Hood Rides Again" aka "Goode Knight". But it's hidden in another stash of miscellaneous cartoons.

My complains with this DVD set 1. It lacks Mickey Mouse cartoons and it has very few Tom and Jerry shorts 2. The disc package is horrible 3. 2 of the discs have Clutch Cargo episodes and I hate it because it is boring and creepy
