I was stationed in the army in fort Ord California I'm from Port Aransas Texas in an avid flounder fisherman went fishing on a charter vessel in Northern California at 18 years old and caught a halibut and I told the deckhand that's the biggest flounder I've ever seen he started laughing and said you must be from Texas LOL

I'll never forget the time I got to spend a week in Alaska with my dad when I was 16. It's one of my absolute favorite memories and to this day almost 15 yrs later I want to eventually go back and spend a whole month.

Glad you're okay! My uncle once got a hook right in his eyelid, it was a miracle how it didn't get into his actual eye since the eyelid is basically touching it. Luckily I had some mini bolt cutters to cut the barb off, he took it like a champ!

I love Seward, was stationed in Anchorage back in 2001-2004 when I was in the Army. Fishing there is amazing, got to fish every day for 3 months working as a deckhand at the Army resort there in Seward. The scenery is spectacular, so much wildlife to see. God definitely blessed that land and the people there. Great video Rob, thank you so much, this brings back so many memories. I love DMFD.

His Fileting was flawless. Seems like a flat fish is very clean and easier to filet than other say sport fish? 2.7 million now. WOW.. Watched you grow and grow pretty quick , so happy for you and you deserve it. Such a good human and father/husband. ALways looking out for other people.

fancy cheffing fish is great but I have no issue eating a fried piece of ling...A.K.A. Cobia.. by most of you guys...in the northern Gulf of Mexico we call them Ling...and they cook well in ovens and on grills.

I just got back from halibut fishing in Seward last week. Our air bnb was only a few houses down from miller’s landing and we would have coffee there in the mornings we weren’t fishing. Thank you for the series. I get to relive my trip through your videos

The card to everyone was absolutely awesome and the the asking of the Blessing of the meal nearly brought tears to my eyes. A friend of mine once told me that God knows what he can trust you with.
