Today we follow old Route 66 out of Los Angeles and into another Randomland Adventure as we see the Cannibal Chicken Boy muffler man, the infamous suicide bridge, Some houses from Back to the Future, the site of the world famous Rose parade, a very unusual Dennys, a stray Route 66 sign, the possible site of the McDonalds brother's original Airdrome, and so much more!

I love how you speak about subjects that not many people feel comfortable talking about.... way to reach out to someone struggling today ❤️

I can't see the comments under your most recent videos, and I don't know whether you'll read this, but... Justin, your speech at the bridge really helped me today. I've been having a rough time for the past few months, and I've been thinking about doing some horrible things. Today was particularly bad, and I really needed to hear this. Thank you.

You made a freeway interesting. I feel you should be congratulated for this achievement.

As someone with depression and who used to have suicidal thoughts, I appreciate your openness and agree. Depression in general is seen as a taboo subject, and so easily misunderstood because of that. So many people refuse to accept they have depression, or think there is no help available. Perhaps your openness on the topic will reach someone who's struggling and needed to hear it. If a KZfaqr that I looked up to had said such a thing when I was in high school, I might have realized I needed help earlier.

Phantomwise, the highway has been of interest to a significant portion of the American population since it opened 91 years ago, as evidenced by it being the focus of a popular television show, being the subject of a hit song, and being featured in numerous novels, magazine and newspaper articles, websites, and films. Justin Scarred is in no way responsible for making it anymore interesting than it has been for nine decades. If there is something he directly is responsible for as a result of his videos, I would suggest that it is portraying himself as a cocky, irresponsible, inconsiderate jackass. How many times has he referenced the fact that viewers regularly give him gifts, PayPal donations, and even free hotel rooms? Many, many times. It's as if he somehow feels that he is actually doing something any random person could not do, something worthy of actual payment. He waves a camera around in a very unprofessional, nauseating manner and rattles off facts that are easily accessible online. Justin Scarred deserves no accolades. He does deserve to be shamed for aimlessly bloviating far from home instead of caring for his child, for not pursuing a stable source of income, for blowing his money on frivolous things for himself, and for behaving in public in a way that is not becoming of a father.
@Phantomwise2

Cindy Alvarez, let me rephrase it then. I congratulate him for making it interesting /to me/ as I would have never looked it up on my own. I tried to express this in a joking manner. I apologize if it came across as serious. I certainly agree with you that it is interesting in its own right, and not just because Justin covered it. I can't say I agree with the rest of your comment, but I believe that you are entitled to your opinion and you have the right to express it.

Thank you for such lovely content always...this video meant a lot, I lost my father to suicide. 13 days later my mom passed away from early onset Alzheimers. I turned 30 the day of her funeral. I miss them, suicide is preventable... some signs are so small. Any help is sooooo huge.

Life can be beyond unbearable at times, but people can come into your life and say or do one thing to get you through the moments you can't manage to get through alone. As a survivor and someone who never ceases to stop having ideations of eternal sleep, I am grateful for such people. They can come from anywhere at any time. We are all each other's guardian angels and should strive to treat each other as such. Love to all the survivors and those still struggling. Thanks for bringing up the topic with care and decency.

15:29 I had an opportunity to march in the Rose Parade in 2020 during my Senior Year of High School. Our band was representing the West of the United States. The Turn onto Colorado blvd was a nightmare to face. It's very hard to get 300 people (The size of the band at the time) to turn at a 90 Degree angle when hundreds of cameras are either recording you or broadcasting you live on TV and the internet. It feels like the whole world was watching us. The Parade is on New Years Day and we have been practicing that turn since July. Good Luck to any of you guys marching the parade next year and years to come! Make it count!

Lol mate I went in that bathroom at The Gamble House and saw the same brand toilet paper and had exactly the same thought 😂 great minds. So we're only one episode into your massive route 66 road trip and already I can tell this is going to be one of my favourite things you've ever done! So much history, so much information to take in! I love every second of it! In fact the only downside is that you're making me want to get back out on Route 66 myself!!!

On the old Lincoln in Anaheim, next to the Fox Theatre, was a VanDeKamp's Bakery. When they closed them, they had special sections in grocery stores for their products (pre-packaged the day before). When they opened the restaurants, Tiny Naylor also opened almost identical looking restaurants (round with Windmills)..

Back in the day, you probably have to be reminded the cars did not go as fast as they do today and waiting at a stop sign was no big deal. Plus the population was not as dense as it is today either. So, that wait was not very long at all. Happy trails Justin!! Stay safe....

Regarding the saga of Chicken Boy, Future Studio didn't merely "donate their roof." Amy is the one who saved CB and kept him in storage for 20 years until a suitable home was found. She even made a movie in the early 1990s about the fictional life of Chicken Boy.
