It is super hard loosing big fish that you have bonded with but when you can grow em and get them to reproduce you should be proud mate good long happy life for your pets

I’m sorry to hear that Crazy Joe passed. What an amazing life, 12 yrs old. You may have set a record with him. It shows how brilliant you are with keeping these monsters. You set the standard in keeping Central American Cichlids. Sending strength from across the pond.

Hey Andy. Sorry to hear about Crazy Joe. When I lost my Frontosas during the Texas freeze it took me a good while to get back into the hobby. Now I have some nice Green Terrors. We have to keep marching on don't we? Anyway, happy fish keeping to you sir.

Sorry to hear bout crazy joe :( .. thought about maybe the Stalsbergi ( true green terror ) or maybe a smaller cichlid like the Bartoni .. i have kept both myself in the past and both beautiful n their own way ... i have packed in keeping for a while ..but maybe start again when Robs finished with what he doing n comin back to the hobby..as far as im concerned there is no better supplier of cichlids in the uk than Rob

Sorry to hear about crazy Joe. I am growing out one of his fry at the minute he is about 6 inches lovely fish. Your right about it being hard to get fish I can not get trimac or chancho any where been looking for the last year. Amy ideas where I can get some?

Ah man... that's always tough Andy. Put my big guy down last year as well. Even my 300g tank just didn't seem big enough once he reached over 20". Big G had a similar situation. He just stopped eating altogether. After trying a few courses of different meds (via pipette) I made the decision to euthanize as he just didn't respond to any treatments.
