What's the 44 Club you may ask? it didn't cut through it. look at all the other sides, there are slits on each side and it just miraculously slid its way right into that one. Yeah it did break and bend it anyway but still.

@@fil2662 It would probably get stuck in, sincce the flesh is not fixed onto something hard like we had in there. As an exemple, you know how when you punch a wall hard enough, you may leave a dent in there and in your fist ? well when you punch someone, since it bounces backwards it is harder to dig a hole in the flesh. It's a crude exemple, but a cow that can absorb part of the hock thanks to it's legs's flexibility will get pierced in a more difficult manner than a fixated pile of steel.

It didn't go through. There's a gap in the middle of each side of the table, slightly narrower than the dart. It hit the gap perfectly and just got stuck there.

go back to other things the dart has punched through though.. it has pierced plenty of metal.. but cling wrap is actually better because many layers of a weak material can actually be better then 1 layer of a stronger material.. want evidence? they used to make battle armor out of layered paper instead of metal (although studded leather was best)

The hollow section in the middle causes the two sections of layers to have give and weakens it. By using the frame they created like a 2inch gap between the top half of layers and the bottom half of layers. If there wasn't a gap, the more deadly packed layers would have been stronger.

You should be able to measure the speed of the dart before and after impact to determine how many layers you need to stop it completely since you have a high speed camera.

350 layer --> dart goes all the way through and goes in the ground to the same depth as 32 layers. I think you will need 10,000-50,000 layers to even come close to stopping it.

ProChamp95 I screw shaped tip wouldn’t go very far at all, depending on the size of the wooden object it will most certainly split it, but the oddly shaped head would cause it to not go very deep, a nail on the other hand that’s practically straight like the dart they have would go quite deep

I understand that you need to have some sort of build up in the video, but when you watch a dart go through 2 inches of metal, why on earth would you think 32 layers of cling wrap will do anything?

Well, Not that it is possible as the video showed, but since the CLing wrap has some spring or give vs metal it could absorb and spread the impact over more area. It would effectively "catch" the dart instead of resisting it. But that darn point ruins it :)

You should do a double 2km cling wrap 2-3 metres apart (in height). See if it can get through the second one after piercing through the first one
