On my last trip to the NT. Gulf of Carpentaria; I gathered a few dozen or so coconuts that had started to grow. I planted lots of three per Islet that did not have any coconut trees growing. To Jack and Fran, would you be interested in doing the same during your tour of the outer reef. Love those crays you both caught.

On the coconut bowls. We use em for drinking kava. Make sure to coat them with some edible oil like coconut, avocado,or olive. Both inside n out. This will help prevent cracking. Once the oil saoks in you are good to go!

During my sailing trip to the Western shore line of the Gulf of Carpentaria, I slept in my boat full time Any thing bigger than a slight ripple, the hull would bang so long as the breeze or wind kept up. At times it sounded like a sledge hammer hitting the hull next to my head on the V-berth. I tied planks of wood, hung from the rails; didn't work. I tried hanging rubber matting with large singers tied to the bottom edge, limited success. I tried branches tied to matting; nothing worked. How have the two of you gone sleeping on your boat? Awesome under water footage.
