@@Cyfran101 A few years ago I had a customer who sold used roof tiles after replacing them for about 50p (UK) each to a yard who then sold them on for up to £2, reclaimed building materials can be good business. But trust me a LOT of work by hand :(

@@howardwest1347 - Yes, the attitude of the host makes a huge difference between channels. Some hosts are indeed unbearable. Boni is upbeat and gets excited for everything they dreg up, Also; the camera work on Bondi's videos are always good, whether he films himself or Nikki/Nicky does it, they are pleasant to watch. And ... no fluff talk, no clickbait, straight to the action !!

You need a ‘sifter’ (a piece of chicken wire in a frame) so when you have a safe full of mud you can tip the contents onto the sifter and rinse. You then don’t need to fish through the mud.

I second that opinion. I would bring a bucket, and sifters as well (and a little brush, hook, etc). I know that Bondi cycles to his missions, so that limits what he can bring with him. This is all so inspiring. Living myself just 20km from Amsterdam I am now stoked to get magnet fishing myself. We have so much water here, and a long history, so why not 'dive into it' ? I will hook a bicycle trailer behind my bike to carry the extra gear.

You might consider adding a collapsible strainer and a collapsible bucket to your kit. That way, you can rinse off items without risking dropping them back into the canal, and wash down the pavement when you're done.

Get a used scuba scooter and use it to fan the silt out in a specific area. Go back a few hours later and the treasures (rings, coins, etc) will be exposed to view. The underwater footage is awesome! More, plz. Cheers!

Tip, bring a large sheet of plastic 2x2m square, the type you can put your tent on, or pvc canvas. Use that to empty your safes on. After the day, rinse the sheet, keeps a clean street.

The canals here are maintained. The are cleaned, and sometimes (rarely, only when necessary) emptied for repair work on the walls. But the bottom is mud and that means small items from even hundreds of years old can still be stuck in the thick mud. Magnet fishing is the best way to get stuff out. Here in Haarlem (20km from Amsterdam) there are amateur diver groups doing occasionally cleanups in the canals. But I get your point. For me as a Dutchman it is shocking to see the stuff that people throw in the waters, even though it is common knowledge that bikes and shopping carts etc. are being dumped by vandals. But the absurd number of safes that Bondi & Co keep finding is just baffling.

What do you do with all the big stuff you find? I notice that you just pile it up. Does the trash company come and pick it up? You have some really great finds. It is amazing how the river looks so dark and the muck from the safes is jet black. But when he's diving the plants are green and the sand is yellow. Amaaaazing and beautiful. But I guess cold, or I'd beg for more. Seeing the diving is fun. 😁👍✌️

Bring an aluminum window screen and filter that out with water from canal through. It will also keep the edge of the canal a bit cleaner

Bondi, I love your show because you're so genuinely enthusiastic. It's so apparent that you're having fun doing what you're doing. Long may you run. In the meantime, though, I'm frustrated watching you try to haul in heavy things, like scooters. Have you given any thought to multiplying your power by using pulleys? It would sure as hell make your life a lot easier. Often you're at a bridge with railings to which you could lash the pulleys. Just a thought. Cheers!

You should get a cheap collapsible bucket to haul around with you. Would make rinsing things a lot easier and they are lightweight and don't take much space when collapsed.

those mini lobster are crawdads and when you get a mess of them you boil them with potatoes and corn with lots of spices for good eatin ..try them you will be in heaven.. we in the States love them

That “mud” looks like sludge. Maybe black gold. Awfully sad all the crap thrown in the canals. Such a shame 😞. Thanks to y’all (dennis and Ramon) for cleaning up so much 😁👍

In the states we call those mini lobsters crawl fish or cray fish and I heard them called crawl dads on the Beverly Hillbillies

Just started watching & I’m watching the first safe come up. I’ve watched some other videos as well & keep thinking to myself that I should ask you if you had ever thought to bring a big deep bucket & a sieve to pour the mud into & then rinse it clean with more canal water to hopefully get a better look at what might be in there. Oh! And don’t forget to tie your rope end up😂 you don’t want to do more reverse magnet fishing
