The UCS tie fighter that came out in 2015 was $200 and with inflation if it released today would be $264 so this is a good value.

It's a new mold too, smooth instead of rough surface, so the molding mark is less obvious now, even without the sticker covering it like used to be the case

That’s bullshit that for 200$ they can’t have a new head print for the tie pilot. You can still see the back of his head and they used to have prints with head wraps but Lego hasn’t been trying recently only raising prices because they know they have a addicted fan base.

it's not all about the pilot. the set is meant to be focused on the fighter not the minifig. if you care about minifigs, order custom minifigs

For years the UCS sets didnt come with minifigures. I honestly dont really care about the minifigure since if I buy this im buying an UCS Tie interceptor, not an UCS Tie Pilot The real issue is lego refusing to make printed pieces for expensive collector sets. The main argument for stickers is that it makes building with the pieces in other contexts easier. No one is gonna take apart and rebuild their UCS display set though.

Its a highly accurate model of the fighter. However, it was one of the most frustrating builds ever, with many parts being very loose and almost impossible to finish. It needs some refinement to make it more durable. The stand also isn't that sturdy so during build it buckled and I had to rebuild a lot of it.

I converted my lego tie fighter 75300 set into a tie interceptor with less than £10 of new parts... This UCS set may be a bit larger but is ~8 times the price! I might have to by that display plaque to go with mine though.

He never gives his honest opinion so Lego keeps sending him free stuff. If he ever complains about something they’ll stop. I’ve seen it happen to other KZfaqrs. You basically have to choose between being a moral person giving an honest review or lying to your audience to get free stuff

I like how the 25th anniversary has remakes of the first UCS sets. Also, the Interceptor is legitimately so fuckin BEAUTIFUL! Comparing it to the last UCS Tie Fighter the… Tie Fighter, it’s so much more rounded off, and smooth
