I feel like SM always had good rappers but never took rapping seriously (unlike YG) until when NCT debuted with (hip-hop??) kind of songs. Honestly, Hyoyeon, Chanyeol, Irene and Yeri have potentials to be great rappers. GD used to be an SM trainee too and he is one of the most respected rappers in K-pop.

Totally agree. I think Hyoyeon has shown to be really good at rapping these past years with her solos. Irene for sure has a lot of potential too. (I actually think she has an amazing rap voice) and she is a great dancer with a strong visual too.

Idk why everyone's comparing her to CL? I don't see it tbh, but like this song snaps so hard, I'm in love oh my God. They also have really different sounds and rap style. I personally am in love with this raspy voice oml. My favorite rappers of groups have always been raspy/deep. Like p.o or Jackson!! I love it so much I can't ❤️
