GIANT RADIO CONTROLLED VICKERS VC10 AIRLINER 5 METRE! with FOUR micro JET ENGINES [*UltraHD and 4K*]
This giant VC10 has a wingspan of 4.9 metres and length of 5.75 metres. Total weight is 63 kgs. The model is powered by 4 Wren Super Sport micro gas turbine engines each of which has 18 lbs if thrust. Designed and built by Terry Mason. Flown by Dave Johnson, LMA Chairman.
Filmed at LMA Cosford Show using the Panasonic AG-UX180 4K pro camcorder by 'Dom Mitchell' of Essential RC KZfaq channel.

Spent 7 years flying on RAF VC10s ( including the example at the Cosford museum) and also flew gliders from Cosford. Best of both worlds for me .

Makes my EDF VC10 look a bit inadequate. But what a majestic site in the air. Even my scratch built VC10 looks good in the air. IMHO the VC10 was the best looking airliner ever built. I was lucky enough to get in the cockpit when I was 14 years old flying back from Zambia to London . Was a bucket list plane to build and she flies great. Thanks for sharing

I agree, I think also that it was the best looking aircraft ever, has to be in that white, blue and gold livery though. A stunning aircraft if ever there was one. You were so lucky to fly in it, I envy you.

My favorite airliner of all times :) Too bad the it was windy, please do it over in zero wind condition. Looks so much more realistic then.

Under such condition that was a great bit of filming as well as the flying. Most admit I was very worried during the landing but the pilot got it down a treat.

Beautiful model! Obviously a very blustery day, hence the heavy landing. Would love to see the undercarriage rear bogy droop down like the full size did.

I've got one of its engines... my first turbine, fantastic! I agree about fitting a gyro, a Powerbox IGyro SRS would really improve the scale flying appearance and general control in such windy condtions. I have them fitted in all my aeroplanes, and it works especially well with warbirds with some 'attitude assist'.

Nothing more boring than watching one plane fly round, at way over scale speed. You need 20-30 second clips with some on board shots too. Rubbish landing too, missed the runway by a mile.

Considering the awful weather the pilot did a fantastic job of putting on a show flight for the attending crowd. As regards speed...it would be boring watching it fly any slower. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
