Kev, use an extension cord. A lightning cable on one end, and aux plug on the other. Gets it away from the controller

5:24 I have a GoPro mount on my remote for filming and it works perfectly! The GoPro mic picks up my voice and the car sounds, and doesn’t pick up other things. (Even if it’s windy!) I’d recommend trying that.
