Giant Robo Instrumental Opening/Johnny Sokko Theme song

This is the first time in a long while the clear, instrumental version of the Giant Robo opening has been put on KZfaq.
This was the version of the theme song immortalized as the opening for the US version of the show "Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot)
As I said this is the clear audio version, no GR jet take off and rocket missile finger noises in the background. So if you wanted to hear what the opening should sound like, well, Christmas came early.

Hands down the best theme music for any Sci-Fi monster movie! As a kid I would whistle or hum this song on the way to school, while at school and on the way home. This music has such a deep meaning to me and keeps me connected to my innocent childhood. Thank you so much for sharing this one.

@pierreguzman2234 I really liked "Destroy All Monsters" as well! Those were some great times being a kid! How about War Of The Gargantuas? That's also a classic monster movie with some really good theme music.

I enjoyed Voyage Into Space as a kid in the very esrly 1970's. Didn't know the "Movie" was clips taken out of a tv show. Giant Robot, please come back!! ❤

I've been humming this fantastic theme to myself ever since I first heard it (and saw 'Voyage Into Space') in 1972. It never gets old! Love the guitar and horns.

Well said. I can hear the narrator saying it just like that. That was the saddest moment of that movie. When Giant Robot made the decision to protect mankind and completely go against the wishes of Johnny Sokko to abort the attack on the Emperor Guillotine. When I saw that giant meteor ball of fire and Giant Robot was flying towards it, at first I thought he was only going to let Emperor Guillotine go in mid air and let him slam into it. But as they both got closer & closer I was thinking "Giant Robot WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Then the unthinkable happened. Giant Robot sacrificed himself to rid the world of evil that possessed the Emperor Guillotine and all of his goons. I honestly felt a sense of betrayal from Giant Robot as I had a hard time dealing with his demise as a kid. It took a while for me to get over that. But with all of that said, even at 58 years of age, Voyage Into Space was back then, is right now and will continue to be in the future my all-time favorite Sci-Fi monster movie.

You know what's funny to me, is that my wife loved Giant robot as a kid. Dhe is 3 years older than me and she told me that she liked giant robot as her boyfriend back then.😅
