Giant salamanders can grow to 5 feet in length and weigh up to 80 lbs. They face a barrier of dams in Japan, built to control flooding. Now it's hoped a new system will help these giant amphibians get upstream past the dams to lay their eggs.

remember LoLong the 30 foot alligator in the Philippines? When they finally captured it they ended up putting it in an environment that killed it, the water was actually too clean and it didnt have space to move around. The mistake we all make is the inability to understand what the animal would survive best in. Like going to the zoo and seeing all the animals depressed and overweight.
