Snake soup is a popular Cantonese delicacy and health supplement in China,Hong Kong, Vietnam,Indonesian and Thai food which contains the meats of at least two types of snakes as the main ingredients. The soup tastes slightly sweet because of the addition of chrysanthemum leaves and spices, while the snake meat in the soup is said to resemble the texture and taste of chicken meatSnake soup is usually served in specialised stores known as "Snake King" or "Shea Wang" (literal meaning: an expert in cooking snakes), mostly located in Shum Shui Po and Kowloon City, Originated centuries ago during the Era of Warring States, snake soup has been lauded in Chinese culture for its alleged medicinal benefits and high nutritional value. However, there are concerns in recent years that the snake soup industry in Hong Kong is on the decline because soup makers have few people to pass on their skills.

How so? Can you elaborate? Oh wait you can't because you don't know the first thing about covid nor snakes. Firstly covid came from an animal that is riddled with viruses and bacteria and whose genetic composition is that of a mammal's. Meaning it is easier to transfer viruses to humans who are also mammals. Snakes are cold blooded reptiles and are very different from humans, they also are not common carriers of viruses and even if they did it wouldn't transfer to humans as easily. Second, snakes are not an unusual meal, they are no different from when we eat fish and other sea creatures, basically they're something that *can* be eaten. Educate yourself please, in our modern world information is at the tips of our fingers and yet you are still uneducated. How stupid.

Usually we will burn the snake on fire first to remove the skins altogether with the scales, of course. And it's faster preparation. We don't need the skins though as they are so tough to chew lol! We do this on komodo dragons as well. I'll try with boiling water one day. Let's see lmao!!

This is absolutely barbaric and sinister. So it is not enough that snakes are hated by people and killed or trapped for their skin and venom, now you have the audacity to eat them? At least kill them quickly, not boil them alive, have some fucking empathy. Just like the people who catch or have snakes as pets and hold them by their heads in order to avoid getting bitten, you can hold it that way too and quickly chop its head off so the animal doesn't suffer and passes away in peace. Damn it, there are chickens in the background, but it's not enough to feed your malicious ego, is it? Snakes are portrayed as sinister, evil, dark animals when in reality they won't even bother you until you're a threat to their life, and only then will they attack because they want to protect themselves! Humans are so prejudiced, evil, and wicked.
