Animal Escapes!
Giant Tortoise 🐢 fed up with lockdown restrictions escapes its enclosure! 🤣
Aldabra Giant Tortoise at Twycross Zoo, Little Orton, Leicestershire, England
This very determined Aldabra Giant Tortoise had climbed up onto a boulder around its zoo enclosure in order to escape into another grassed area.The boulder was quite high and difficult for a Giant Tortoise with a big heavy shell to get down from.
Zoo Staff were alerted by visitors at the zoo who were worried about the Huge Tortoise. Back up arrived and the Zoo keeper helped encourage the Giant Tortoise to climb down by taking the weight of its massive shell. The tortoise seemed to wait for help and also seemed to trust the keeper, as it tried harder to move and climb down when help arrived.

Twycross Zoo is a medium to large zoo near Norton Juxta Twycross, Leicestershire. The zoo has the largest collection of monkeys and apes in the Western World, and in 2006 re-launched itself as "Twycross Zoo - The World Primate Centre". The zoo attracted 644,033 visitors in 2019.

My great aunt donated speedy when she died in late 80s . I'm sure it's the same speedy he was enormous to me as I was only 3 but remember him ❤😊
