I'd just picked up my new Giant Trance 29 X2, from Bikresmith Cyclery, and had to go do a test ride. We literally went 15 min down the road to the Spence Springs Trailhead. With the help of some friendly local bikers, we planned out our route and set out. We intended to take Emmanuel Pines Loop up to Vista Trail, work our way over to Westside Story Trail, and work our way back to the parking lot. We got lost multiple times on the way, as well as had several mechanical issues. But we were able to continue and find our way back.
The test ride of the Giant TX2 was great. It took me a little while to get used to the handling in the turns and I was a little shy of hitting some of the bigger obstacls, but it climbed well and rolled over stuff better than I expected.
The suspension was very active but nice and tight. I felt like my pedal power was being transfered to the drive train much better than I thought it would. I'm very happy I bought the bike and will be riding it for many years to come.
