I thought Doom looked super lame when it was first shown but it was better when actually played. I still to this day think they relied slightly too much on the whole melee to regain health and chainsaw kills to regain ammo etc. But I guess they wanted players to play more aggressive rather than tactical like old doom.

They don't give a fuck about marketing hype and they expect good games released, unbroken and janky which most gamers are used to now and don't mind day one patches for game breaking bugs, which they should mind because paying money for broken products is fucked. They've given friends of theirs who make games low scores because it turns out, their game wasn't good. If you look at their faces during the Fallout 4 mechanics being introduced and Fallout Shelter, they are legitimately impressed because it's there: achieving complex gameplay and released now. As a consumer, you don't owe shit to the people who make the product. You pay for what they make and if you pay for shit, it's up to you to make it right. Are you gonna sit back and say, "well, they tried really hard so I mean, I guess it's not that shitty..." If you feel that bad for devs. that make bad games, feel free to go buy every shitty game out there to support them. There are plenty of amazing games that get fucked over because of marketing or because gamers are too scared to try something different. I like certain developers that make different games like Swery65 and his games have jank but the kind of jank that's charming and the personality flows out the wazoo. If you like a certain dev. then yea support them but these guys don't get paid to be Yes Men. Jeff Gerstmann, the guy in the blue baseball shirt, also well known for being hated, had played and seen Watch_Dogs ages before it was released and kindly said that it didn't look that good. The mechanics were shallow but everyone around was going nuts for Watch_Dogs because marketing. He tempered my reaction to Watch_Dog's marketing and I waited to see what it was really was, a let down like many other triple A games at the time. If that's not enough, he reviewed Twilight Princess and gave that game an 8.8 and yea, how was that game in hindsight?

ElyskeTheDonut elyske u are right about all that stuff and I appreciate the long message and I know that they probably saw so many presentation of games that they stopped counting. What I wanted to point out was just their discrediting and disrespectul attitude towards the developer with comments like "so is this dead rising now?" just because of the art of the presentation and the editing. I thought the presentation was really well put together and had a nice pacing. I m sure putting elder scrolls online into and battlecry was pretty challenging as they needed to avoid any hate.

" all my viewers wondered why. it's because I'm worried they're going to fuck something up with the voice character/limited dialogue system and now the whole "no skills, perks based on special" system has me worried it won't be as good. I'll miss the skill point system. But when I would leave a comment explaining my feelings, I'd get dozens upon dozens of people who look on Todd Howard as "Godd Howard" and suck on Fo4's dick. The features are neat, will be fun to play with ... but the dialogue/voice worries me for various reasons, Immersion, player roleplaying. But all I got were negative comments. Everyone finds something to complain about... it's if you're an asshole about it that I take offense.
