I think they should sign Simmons for a 1 year contract and definitely go after Gilmore for a 1 year deal as well . We can make this happen if the 2 players are all in but idk if that’s the case. In a perfect world it would be awesome to get the deals done. But if not then get more depth at OL and DL . Some cheap players that can still produce and be good rotational players

I’m ok with this signing, but I would’ve been ecstatic with a veteran outside CB. Like, why did the Giants draft Andru Phillips if he was just gonna take over Cordale Flotts spot in the slot?? Instead of signing guys like David along Jr. and Tre Herndon, they could have drafted an outside CB. Maybe they could’ve traded back in Round 3 and gotten an extra pick for it. Personally speaking, I really wanted the Giants to draft Khyree Jackson who’s now with Minnesota. Like damn, can we get a proper CB2 to help out Tae Banks?

As much as I love him I think I’m good… I truly believe in Nubin and Pinnock and want to see Belton get on the field more. I think I rather allocate that bread to Gilmore. Unless we goin 6 DB defense often where Simmons Pinnock and Nubin can all be on the field at the same time

The only thing that’s preventing this is these veterans want to win, they are already rich, and they will make a big bag wherever they go. Unless we overpay or offer more years of guaranteed pay. I just don’t see Simmons or Gilmore coming here.
