As a Titans fan after we lost to the Giants in week 1, I felt like the Giants were different than years past. And I think 🤔 it's the coach. I feel like the team believe in him and that'll take you a long way as a team. Congratulations Giants fans, y'all deserve to celebrate your team.

Yes, the Giants are different this year and it is largely due to their new head coach, Joe Judge. The team seems to have bought into his philosophy and they are playing with a lot of confidence. Congratulations to the Giants and their fans!
@queeflandbrown

Its partially the coach but the real difference is the other thing you said in your post. The belief. I remember games in 2016-17 where Eli Manning will stroll into the press conferences and say "we just gotta play better next time" and they come onto the field and embarass themselves. The difference between that era of the giants and now is the amount of Heart on the field. Not only from the players, but the staff as well. There was none before, now they have talent, coaching, capability, but most importantly heart and the belief in winning and the possibility of it.
@jerseyfky
@jerseyfky Жыл бұрын
Yes you are right the coaching is a huge part, but not giving credit to players who give their heart like Saquon, Daniel Jones and a host of other players does a disservice to what they've put into their careers thus far. They just needed that HC to lead them in the right direction.

I'll take that Win any day of the week over an extra 8 points of rubbing it in that can always backfire on you! That was smart football! Back durin Manning's Super Bowl runs, Bradshaw did the same thing except his momentum carried him forward and he couldn't stop. The Giants did score giving them a bigger lead, but they did have to rely on their defense to make a stop. Here what Barkley did was... I'm not going to allow their Q.B., no, not even their Center to touch the ball again. He put a +1 in the Win Column! That's what gets you into the playoffs and championship games!

I was hoping for at least a 4-2 start but was given a treat of not only 5-1 at the point of this game in the season, but a 7-1 start before their tragic injuries that decimated them for the middle of the season. Yet they persevered through it, finished 9-7-1 just getting into the playoffs and they should of had a better record than that. They should have been 10-7 upto 12-5 and if they weren't decimated on injuries I could have seen them as a 13-4 team... and this is even with all of their holes and a weak receiving core. Then they go on the road and win a playoff game against the Vikings in Minnesota who had a really good year and was one of the betters teams in the league... I've been watching their progress during this offseason and most of their choices for trades - free agency so far I'm liking. The loss of J. Love was kind of a downer as I really liked him... however, they're now building around Jones and Barkley giving Jones some vital needed weapons. Fix up the interior O-Line a bit, beef up the D-fense to better stop the run and they're going to be golden. Now they're changing the turf of the field to help prevent - reduce injuries during practice and in games. That's another positive. This team is young, they are hungry, they have a great coaching staff and they're only going to get better. I see many great things coming for Big Blue. The G-Men are Back and they're going to be a tough competitive team for several years to come. This team is going to surprise the league within the next couple of years and they may even accomplish the "impossible" well more like the "improbable". They could be the first team to win 3 back to back Super Bowls, and they could even possibly achieve an undefeated season in the process. I'm not trying to claim that they are going to do that. I'm just stating that the direction and potential is there. I'm really liking what Daboll and Martindale are doing with this team! Giants 4 Life!

BUT, we still need to be patient with this team. There are still a lot of young players who need to get more experience. And, the O-line still needs to come together and play more consistently. So, I think the Giants are still a work in progress. They have a lot of potential, but we have to let them grow and mature. Passing up a well deserved TD at the end of the game in exchange for the guaranteed win... That's the football I grew up with, and so I hope that his agent was smart enough to make the Giants count the intentional refusal of such uncontested TDs as earned TDs within his contract. I may be from Philly, but I've been going to PSU games since I was old enough to walk the steps up to my father's seats and to sit through the nasty Center County weather. Years later I went on to spend the best four years of my life in Happy Valley, so when the Eagles play the Giants, where my loyalty lies isn't in question. Damn it's good to see Saquon playing again at this level. Go Giants!

Running Back-Jack is often in comparison talks with him, but he can never fill his shoes, especially after this game .
