I have to say as someone who has followed both gib and kenny, both have great stamina and get better as the rounds go on, I would of put gib as the winner in this before kennys last performance but I do wonder if it was a whinderson issue or if kenny just got that much more confident. I would aslo add gibs performance against jarvis was a little underwhelming for what I expected from them both, so we shall see if kenny and gib can bring it with both being energetic and not so easily tired.

Kenny's team should accept the 8 rounds and just train for more rounds, because daley is saying he expects kenny to perform similar to how he beat whindersson nunes, and hes even saying kenny knows how to fight on the inside. If kenny can go to war against gib for 8 rounds and even beat him, thats a big statement in the influencer boxing scene. People like slim are struggling to go 4 rounds against bums like tom zanetti, and salt papi definitely cannot fight at a high pace for 8 rounds (he wanted to fight AT for only 3 rounds).

I disagree. No tournament is needed. Kingpyn had a good idea but they’ve ran into logistical issues the whole way through that ends up messing with things(people getting injured and needing to pull out). The tournament, because it made everybody have to fight at a specific weight also kinda forced some unnatural matchups. All Misfits really needs to do is just have mandatory matches for the title holders, and allow fighters to earn title shots similarly to the UFC. By ranking fighters that way it would create a natural ranking system that would force fights that make sense.

@@itsprecept your right misfits should have a ranking system or list. to begin with it will look off but i could see it becoming major. every weight division should have it.

@@Jonathan-tw4xm I’m mostly just tired of mismatches more than anything. Fights like Chase DeMoore vs Josh Brueckner, or Jay Swingler vs Cherdleys shouldn’t be happening or be as normalized as they are, especially in these fights with no headgear. I also don’t think that they should take it super, super seriously since these are content creators before they are boxers. Not to say they shouldn’t take it seriously, they should, but I would love to see high quality content from the guys in a similar way to how Kingpyn has been doing in the build up to those fights. Judging by how overblown and WWE-like this latest Misfits event has been…… I don’t think that will happen lol. I really think Misfits just needs to standardize their fights before anything though because a lot of the mismatches that happen there are genuinely super concerning so I think introducing a ranking system would really help enforce making the fights that make the most sense happen.

@itsprecept I think the big problem with misfits is that none of the none ksi or non Jay swingler cards on their own actually sell that much. They want to generate attention and ppv or eyes the only way they can do this is with gimmicks. A ranking system will help fight against mis matches for sure.

@miami444 I respect that fully. Jake has gone longer rounds but he isn't good. His toughest fights are tommy and silva. Woodley was supposed to be easy for jake he had years of experience and Woodley didn't have any boxing experience. Silva had the most experience but he was 50 so we can ignore that. When tommy stepped up he lost every round. Doesn't really mater if you go 8 rounds against people you should beat in 3. Jake has boxed since 2018 that is 6 years. 5 for silver and nearly 6 for tommy. Not impressive at all. But impressive that he found a market to sell fights and generate great wealth. That is impressive but he isn't a competitor at all

Gib has the experience, which almost always has the biggest effect on the outcome of a fight. But Kenny has improved very quickly and he has all the physical advantages. Gib also doesn't have much of a chin. I see Kenny jabbing him all night before landing an overhand or check hook to knock Gib out. Gib still doesn't look like he's a natural at boxing. He's had to work very hard to look somewhat good but kudos to him.

reach is good when your opponent doesn't know how to work around it. Gib will work around it and once the fight starts heating up, gib will only need to eat 1 or 2 jabs each time before moving in close, jabs wont drop gib. Also this is a battle of will power, kenny being all technical wont match gib's will and pure fire to win. Gib will break kenny down.

@@WinterMan.Gib needs to earn his respect early then whilst finding a way past the jab, kenny just needs to pop it out for 3/4 rounds and have enough in the tank for the final bell. I want Gib to win but his style is not a good fit for Kenny. Even if Gib loses he still had the toughest run by far as jarvis and mcbroom is hindsight were the 3rd/4th best opponents in the tournament.

I agree, but it’s a reason his cardio is good. He doesn’t throw much power behind most shots so he is able to go several rounds. If he started too many more throwing power shots he would gas out much sooner

Temper beat him, Sensei beat him and Rak-su beat him and all of them were putting on strength/martial art power. Gib isn't like Nunes, he won't come in out of shape.. he'll come in for a war and I personally see Gib taking it, but it's going to be a fun one for sure.

You can look absolutely incredible against one person but look weak to the next. Hell I remember everyone gassing up Tayler Holder and look at what Gib done to him. Austin McBroom absolutely dominated Bryce Hall, and I personally see Bryce Hall going 50/50 with Nunes. Gib vs Kenny will be great, but people don't need to gas up Kenny over a win against an out of shape guy who beat Fillipek. You're right, Gib's aggression is amazing, similar to Rak-su.. it's going to be Kenny's weakness, if they work hard on trying to capitalise on Gib's happy feet first round and miss out on that, Gib takes it in the later rounds.. but somehow, I don't see Kenny being stopped, but I would like to see it.

And I hope ksi actually proposes a fight offer for the winner of the tournament to add to the fuel of both fighters

Gib is better at keeping his head off the center line, winning the outside foot battle and overall defense. Obvi he is shaky round 1 but after that its pretty much the gib show

@@revenge5656 I'm glad this is obvious to everyone. Every single fight I've seen Gib is shaky in the first round, then he picks it up and goes crazy. I'd have liked to have seen Jake Paul vs Gib without the 3 point rule, I still think Gib would have lost but I think he'd have put up a better fight maybe.
