I recommend doing it on foot, as well as avoiding all the minibus tours, as this gives up the authenticity and atmosphere it offers for a modest area of the UK

An excellent video tour of some of the most interesting locations in Gibraltar, our little bolt hole in the sun from the UK. Many thanks for sharing! It's a common misconception that Gibraltar is an area of the UK. In fact, it is not. It is a British overseas territory.
