Gibson should be commended for featuring their competitors guitars along with their own. You don't see this from other brands. People in guitar forums are always praising one brand and bashing their competitor. It's content like this that should show to everyone that a cool guitar is a cool guitar, doesn't matter the brand.

I got to do some computer work for their manager once as a friend called me and said they needed help. Had never seen Aerosmith but sitting on stage for a concert by them was remarkable. They were fantastic live. This wasn't long after 9/11, feels like yesterday! Sadly, didn't get to meet them because some yahoo crashed their backstage green room the night before and pissed everyone off so the manager said it would be better to let them have a uninterrupted visit. I got lucky and met 100s of bands in the 80s/90s so I understood their job is actually work, not just fun like you imagine as a kid dreaming of being a rock star. They've been one of my favorite bands since :-) Rock on Brad Whitford!

39:12 The reveal of the big-headstock white Strat with bound fretboard reminded me of the late Chicago bluesman Lefty Dizz and his Strat that also had a bound fretboard, the only one I've ever seen. I saw him play many times in the late-'70s through the 1980s. The Strat was black, but very beat up so it might not have been the original color. He played it upside down like Jimi, but with it still strung for a right-hand player. I'm looking right now at his 1979 LP with that guitar "Somebody Stole My Christmas." Happy holidays, everyone!

Gibson deserves so much credit for breaking the mold. It shows such confidence in your company to highlight a competitors product alongside your own. I appreciate that Gibson as a company truly enjoys the history of the tools used regardless of the brand name. Respect and appreciation to everyone from bottom to top at the Gibson company. 🤝

This is nothing special. Gibson doesn't deserve any special credit for showing other brands when the damn series is about artists GUITAR collections. It's not entitled "Brad's (or anyone elses) collection of Gibson guitars"

When Mark asked the question if Brad was still looking for a guitar, if there was something he still wanted... I would have loved to hear Brad reply a Gibson with Robot tuners that actually work.

I'm late to the party once again...but better late than never. Thanks for another great episode. This series has become the thing on KZfaq I most look forward too. I wish you guys put them out more often. Can't wait to see who pops up next. I'd love to see Joe Walsh, Joe Perry, Dave Grohl and of course the man who made everyone want a Les Paul, Jimmy Page. I'll be happy with whoever pops up next as I appreciate many different kinds of music. Do more Please!

I don’t know too much about Brad, but for a “rocker” he seems like a gentle soul who has an excellent taste in guitars and apparently like many rockers was inspired both by the sound of the Beatles and Eric Claption’s mid 60s les Paul sound and setup. Can you imagine if neither the Beatles nor Clapton existed in the 1960s ,,,,,how different the evolution of rock n roll would have been?

I was at Woodstock 94, Brad didn't play "the entire show" on the plain top Les Paul. 🙂He did use it for a few songs, that and a white Strat (as far as I can remember).
