Oh,but when its called out comeback after comeback how miyeon gets crumbs and soyeon 90% of the lines,you all go into ur sOyEoN isA gEnIuS cringe crap. Miyeon is the best voice in kpop and its absolutely criminal we rarely see her in the main tracks. All so soyeon can promote herself and still be the least popular. Miyeon deserves the screentime on her part, she sounded so phenomenal, resembling Lady Gaga. Getting the lines she should have had during their previous comebacks. This is what happens when you let Shuhua rap, Soyeon, Minnie, and Yuqi utilize their vocals and Miyeon express her main vocal prowess. Although the MV story makes it acceptable, I love how Idle is always relating to societal issues. Like how the SA incident happened. 4th gen queens indeed.

So sick! Soyeon made me gasp in that dress, Minnie's acting is on point, Miyeon's voice is amazing, Yuqi and Shuhua were dope with their visuals, the dancing and outfits were cool af, and the song is just overall a bop. Been listening to it all day! IDLE never disappoint! Great idea to collab with 88 Rising!

Wdym throughout the whole mv i cpuld only see one girl with bangs black hair and on the second that blonde hair girl, idk much about g idle so i don't know their names but i was disapointed i kinda wanted to see the stories of other members like the one in car, near pool and heck i don't even remember the other 5th members part that's how bad it is, i wish someone else out of tgose did the gun shot scene bc that girl obv had much screentime kinda overshadowed other members stories just my opinion cuz it felt kinda unfair BUT loved the song and obsessed with that "I want you to fall hardest of all" part

@neomu_lonely_neomu_happi I saw 2 theories on Twitter about this 1: its like the 'I do' music video where they're all the same person (Minnie would be that person, the one with bangs) The other girls are just showing different stages in her abusive relationship, and in the end where everyone disappears it means she made peace with it/her trauma. 2: The guy killed the 4 girls, Minnie found out about it and got revenge. (I don't really think that's what happened, but it's likely) I think that if the first theory is true, it explains why Minnie is mostly shown since it's about her relationship. I did wanna see more of the other girls as well, but I honestly think the mv is very beautiful.

I don't understand why they haven't given this song more promotion, it's great. The song is spectacular. Their voices are impressive. Miyeon's part is brutal. This song is very Lady Gaga, it's just that (G)I-DLE sounds so wonderful in the song. They deserve much more recognition. I like their voices and the group in general more and more. I was already a fan of them but they are incredible, they don't disappoint. They are queens.

You know Heat wasn't my favourite EP, that'll eternally be 'I Burn', but honestly it isn't as bad as some people make it seem. A lot of people like the songs and enjoy them. Sure the songs may lack Gidle's X-factor, on account of not being self produced, but overall a pretty solid EP for an English debut. And plus, the vocals, especially Miyeon's really shine here! The girls also said that they felt like they did a great job, and you can even see Heat's influence on '2' as well. Debuting 25 on Billboard 200 is pretty awesome! I've seen some people use the view count of the heat videos, especially the official audio numbers, as some kind of proof that Idle tanked but that's not true at all. Gidle's biggest fanbase is in Korea and China, with a solid following in Russia, Brazil, India etc, that is, the majority of their fans are non-English speaking. Heat is obviously not targeted at their main demographic so obviously there will be less interest. Also the official audios are scattered in three: on 88rising's channel, and for some reason as two versions on Gidle's official channel, and one version is unlisted in the Heat playlist. So obviously the views would be split in three. But adding the views up we'll see that 'I want That' has 9.7M, 'I do' has 2.7M, 'Eyes Roll' has 3.7M, 'Flip It' has 1.6M, and 'Tall Trees' has 1M(all approximate numbers). The B-side official audio views especially are comparable to their other b-sides on Korean albums. The 'I want That' and 'I Do' music videos performed well too along with the 'I Do' NYC skyline special performance, and the Bangkok version. So overall a solid, if not amazing result considering this was completely in English and not promoted in Korea like their usual songs with music shows and all. Sorry to everyone for the word vomit. I'm relatively new to fandom and I was kinda confused by all the 'Heat' utterly flopped statements lol.

True. I think it’s mainly because it wasn’t promoted domestically that it didn’t reach their main audience. A lot of Koreans don’t even know about the album. However, in America it actually did do well and was played on the radio and people actually liked it too, but that audience is not the kind that will check their MV.
