I agree. Piazzolla has won his place in the 20th century Mount Olympus of Music Gods. He took tango to heaven. Argentina has contributed to last century's music with at least two great composers, Piazzolla and Ginastera, The former was a disciple of the latter. Gidon Kremer homage to the great South American composer is superb!

So happy to have watched this live!!!! Of my favorite music pieces and genre ever!!! Love what Kremer "did" to my dear Piazzolla!! So much skill, emotion and dream combined!!

I've been listening to the whole Piazolla Album by Kremer. "Celos", "Milonga en re", "Milonga per tre"... en fin. Muy muy muy lindo. J.S.Bach left a legacy of "logic" in his Brandenburg Concertos, the doubles (the 2 for 2 violins, and the harpsichord ones), the well tempered, and this completes the perfect dichotomy of J.S.Bach logic (for the left brains) and Piazolla (right brains). It's beautiful! Love it. Loooooove it.

In my opinion Piazzolla is one of the greatest composers of the 20th century and Kremer is paying him an honouring tribute, This music is very moving and almost physical. Oh, how jelaous I am not being able to play this ... :)
