@@krutarthpatel9283 IFSC is center govt org not Gujarat govt org. Also center investing lot money in it, giving incentives and Tax benefit. It is PM Modi dream project and he being PM will give all assistence required. Also GIFT city ain't just going to handle gujarat, it is there to cater entire India. If it is going to cater only Gujarat then it makes sense to name it Gujarat International center. BSC is regional stock exchange, we also had kolkata stock exchange, madras stock exchange, ahemdabad stock exchange, and many more. NSE is national stock exhange. Bollywood is not central film industry, it is again regional, similarly we have tollywood.

@@deepeshsao1008 GIFT city concept came in 2009, Central govt led by MMS making fun of it, not supported at all, now when it making progress due to the efforts that was since many years, and gift city is not just smart City, it is financial/Technology/Education hub, it bring so many foreign entity it requires proper policy, infrastructure and mainly govt support..

This GIFT CITY was planned 20 years ago by Narendra Modi in 2003, when he was chief minister of Gujarat. This project was opposed by many economists saying it will not be successful, because no financial institutions and bankers will be interested in coming to India and that too in a state like Gujarat, where alcohol is banned. Many experts opined that it will be a Ghost City( unoccupied city). Narendra Modi took a big financial risk and developed GIFT CITY. Another financial city was planned in BKC MUMBAI. Wohi toh, Naam bhi Gujarat international financial tec-city rakha hai. India or Bharat international financial tec-city rakhte toh lagta India ka hai, Gujarat mein Surat diamond bourse banaya hai taki mumbai ke bharat diamond bourse ko khatam kare. Atleast surat diamond bourse ka naam India pe rakhte, toh lagta India ka hai.
