Paper Measurements
➥Gift Box: To determine the size of the paper lay box down on paper. Height of paper (Timestamp: 0:04) should allow for both sides of the box to be covered past the half way point. Width of paper (Timestamp: 0:09) will be 3 box widths + 4 box heights. You may want to allow an inch or two extra for safety.
➥Rosette: 20” x 2” (50.8cm x 5.08cm)

This is a cool video... I tried some gifts with this wrapping idea and I was perfectly did in my first time... 🎉 I don’t know why some people could not get it but I think this is so easy to make a beautiful design... Just u have to take the right measure of wrapping paper for ur box or gift items.❤

This is so pretty ~ It was a bit of a challenge to get how these pleats work at first, but you showed one open, so I eventually got it, and once I got the first one it was really fun to fold them. (I wrapped two gifts with this pattern, just putting a ribbon on one of them.) Thanks for sharing it ~

I had to rewind several times and I didn't bother with the rosette, but I think I did okay for a first time trying it

Well done! 🏆This is a rather tricky pleating technique 😅 In the future, if you ever need it, feel free to use the gear icon to the bottom right of the screen to adjust the play speed, but rewinding also works. Also, for these pleating videos, you can always practice with a piece of printer paper. I think that has a great heft for pleating. ❤ This will be muscle memory soon and in no time you'll be able to do it with your eyes closed. 🙃 ~Happy Holidays! 🎄

I use to wrap things creatively..now its lucky to get out of plastic bag Thanks for sharing maybe i wont be so lazy..but im pushing 80.. Can see well But i did get some wrapping paper for .09 a.roll.after.christmas this year... Ita so flimsy..im thinking of trying the old kitchen paper and iron.trick to make some bags..if i can find the energy.

Hello! The brown kraft is 150 GSM / 85lb. The red paper is slightly thicker. Unfortunately I could not find any specs for it. If you're interested, the exact products are linked within the description below the video. They're both pleasant to work with but I think the brown is a little easier to pleat with. Some viewers find this newer version easier to understand: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/brWGh9Njzr62nac.html. If you do give it a try (and I hope you do!) I suggest you try the pleating portion with a piece of printer paper first. Perhaps start with three wide pleats instead of five and make them wider. It's a little tricky but not too bad. What kind of paper do you use? I mean, how thick is it?

Hello, both of these are kraft papers purchased right from Amazon. It's my favorite paper to wrap with because it has a great heft (not too think or thick), is simple and beautiful, affordable and recyclable. If you want to see the ones I used, please find the links to the products within the description section below the video. You can often even find kraft paper at the post office or office supply stores. Hope that helps!

Hello! Very sorry, I completely failed to address your question about the thickness! The brown is a 150gsm/68lb paper. The red is more sturdy (but not stiff like cardstock); I'm not sure about the weight. @@igackm2515

It's a video I made showing a different way to approach the Fancy Rosette. It may be slightly easier to do it this way. ~The inverting of the triangles is a bit tricky but once it clicks, you'll be able to do it without trouble (I promise). Please update me. ☺

This is a no for me. I tried to do the beginning.... which you didn't explain at all and I could never get both sides to have an even crimp. The video is fun to watch, but it is 100% not a tutorial.

I agree, Word for Word it kind of frustrated me because I end up ruining my WRAPPING paper and the joy of wrapping the gifts to begin with because now I’m discouraged and disappointed in MYSELF.

I'm sorry to hear that. Learning anything new can be frustrating and is definitely not a reflection on you. If anything it is a sign that you are going out of your comfort zone. If you are willing to try again, may I suggest here...perhaps try the pleating technique with a piece of printer paper first. To make it easier, do 3 instead of 5 pleats and make them wider since you are just learning. Also, feel free to use the gear icon to the bottom right of the screen to adjust the play speed.
