@@audiomystic there's a lot of grip tapes with graphics. I really have nothing against Andy, I liked his 50-50 impossible out, but I think he isn't the innocent (the best word I could find right now) guy he appears to be at all. He's much more competitive and cares much more about everything. Not that I have a problem with it, it's just that he acts as if not. The main thing that has me thinking that is that interview where he states (not in this exact words) that he finds it meaningless to go try beat everybody in the Olympics and will just take the contest as an opportunity to show some creativity to the kids who may start skateboarding, which you can see in the Olympic that it's an absolute lie.

@@rubytuesday7716 i just happened to rewatch the video and see my original comment. From what ive seen of Andy, and the stories ive heard from random people, he seems to be genuine. The Olympics is such a weird thing to bring up. Like its the Olympics. did you expect him to spend his whole run space walking around the flat ground? He did a bunch of non traditional tricks and had fun but he still put in effort, if he had blown it off to do a random freestyle sesh his spot would have been wasted and could have been given to someone else. dude lives out of an ambulance. seems weird to have that much effort into fake positivity when thats not what core skaters care about at all

I worked at a skate shop from 2007 to 2011 and my most memorable moment was arguing with a dad infront of his son that grip tape and sand paper are not the same thing. Seeing the kid walk out of the shop with a new deck and no griptape knowing his dads about to glue sand paper to his new deck was the funniest thing ever.

I'm personally not a fan of clear grip unless you're skating it on like a cruiser or something. Clear grip feels noticably less grippy to me and I don't think it's just in my head
