Easy solution: gift cards. Especially the ones that are basically like cash. But it’s a card.

I'd prefer normal money than a gift card. You don't have to spend it at a particular place and no time limit. Unless you keep the money until it's not usable

@@parkerwelch4628 then they can be pissed XD unless you’re gonna tell me a specific thing you want. My broke ass is getting you a gift card. Plus I haven’t met one adult friend yet who doesn’t like the visa gift cards. You can use them anywhere and for anything from something necessary for living to just a thing they want. It’s just convenient for both parties. Which is why it’s technically a very thoughtful gift.

i have a good gift idea for holidays. on the actual holiday gift them a large sum of money, and then take them to the store for all the sales the day after.
