Ahead of their appearances as part of the 2024 Golden Melody Awards’ showcase this month, Taiwanese musicians LÜCY and The Crane have stepped into the spotlight for our Artist on Artist interview this month.
LÜCY (‪@Lucyfairygood‬) is a singer-songwriter known for her bilingual compositions in Mandarin and English, who also explores Aboriginal languages throughout her musical career. Finding a fanbase with Taiwanese dream pop fans thanks to her debut single, 2021's 'CACTUS', Lucy released her first album in 2022, with a new album scheduled to arrive this year.
Meanwhile, ‪@TheCrane‬ is a singer-songwriter/producer based in Taipei. Growing up in the times when R&B music blossomed, The Crane was influenced by music from all spectrums leading him to create his own blend of alternative R&B and bedroom pop, sprinkled with soul elements from the seventies. He rose to priminence during 2022, instantly getting nominated for multiple Golden Melody Awards with his debut album 'TALENT'.
